Deja Vu "Denzel Washington + Tonny Scott"

Every year Denzel does about 2 movies that I always love, last year was Man on Fire and Manchurian Cannidate. This year it was Inside Man and the upcoming movie Deja Vu. Denel Washington teams up with director Tony Scott " Man on Fire, Top Gun, Enemy of the State, and Domino". It is déjà vu that unexpectedly guides ATF agent Doug Carlin through an investigation into a shattering crime. Called in to recover evidence after a bomb sets off a cataclysmic explosion on a New Orleans Ferry, Carlin is about to discover that what most people believe "is only in their heads" is actually something far more powerful--and will lead him on a mind-bending race to save hundreds of innocent people.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Denzel is top notch. However, Tony Scott really leaves a lot to be desired. When they worked together in Man on Fire I was at least entertained, so I guess I can at least hope for that this time around. Don't really have any hopes for it though.

Tony Scott is a jerk, in real life. For years, he'd run around telling everyone how he directed Top Gun and how well it did in theaters. Now what does he do? Domino - and the less said about that, the better.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Lol a lot of people didn't like Domino but thought it was pretty cool. Deja Vu doesn't seem to have the crazy jump around editing Domino had though.

I agree with Lehah about Tony Scott. Domino was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I also see that in 2008 he will be remaking The Warriors in which he will ruin the original for everyone. What a stupid asshole.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Just saw this last night and loved it, sure there are a couple parts that might not make sense but it's a movie so it's no biggie. Anyway really fun movie and Denzel gives a good performance again, plus no super switch shaky on acid camera shots for those who didnt like Domino hehe.

It pissed me off when the trailer came on during Casino Royale and they played it twice because it's 'Deja Vu'! OMG, we're sooooo whimsical!

Pile of shit.

I loved Man of Fire. I never get too much of a chance to watch his movies however.

Always solid. If this is anything as good as Man of Fire, then I will probably end up watching it.

It's a totally different style then Man on Fire, Man on Fire was really emotional and made you really care about the relationship between Creasey and Pita. This is more of a fun ride while it does have some soft moments I find it more of a entertainment ride. Denzel is really good as usuall though so I'm sure you will emjoy it.

Hmm he seems pretty much in the same area as Out of Time and Man on Fire. I think Training Day and Inside Man are totally different characters from the others. He does have a part in the movie where he gets pissed and screams but thats what we love. Also Harry Gregson Williams does the music for this like most Tony Scott movies and it's pretty damn good. Again for the role part he plays a ATF agent which is in the same area as his cop/detective roles so it isn't too different.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I'm a huge fan of Denzel Washington and his work. I own pretty much all his movies. I haven't seen this one yet but I'm dying to. I'm hearing mixed reviews about the film but I remain eager to check it out. I haven't been disappointed by a Denzel movie yet. I'm sure this one won't be an exception.

You will like it, as long as you know that a movie is for entertainment then yeah it's great. Some critics like to judge a movie like it's supposed to be real and make complete 100% sense. "OMG that's so fake that can't happen in real life" thats what movies are for =p
