OneUpStudios End

Quote:
Since we said goodbye to The OneUps this past weekend, we'll start saying goodbye to OneUp Studios as we know it today. As of this moment, all CDs are now on sale for just $5.00. The few remaining T-Shirts are $10.00. That's it. I know I've said this and that and this and uh, but we've taken care of what we've needed to and now we're just going to get rid of everything. I'll probably keep printing Time & Space and Volume 1 in small runs because they're so popular, but The Very Best of SEGA and Xenogears Light - when they're gone - they're gone. Let's get these things out the door people!
Source: Site.

So yea, sad news, but at least they're selling their albums for $5 now. Just ordered the Xenogears album to make my collection complete.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered the only album I really enjoyed from them, The OneUps Volume 1.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Well, it might not have been Protricity, but it's definitely convenient to say it was.

I was wondering what all this was for. Also:

Aww, sad, indeed. I have all their albums except that second release of Time & Space. I might go ahead and just get it since it's only $5 now.

Mario than Mario is not the work of the OneUps, but just from Mustin and Dale North.

Aww... I was about to order the second printing of Time & Space and just noted it's on backorder until late June. Oh well, at least the site said they would still be printing it. I'll just get it later.

I've found Mustin's personality a little grating in my dealings with him, but this is a sad occurance. I really liked Xenogears Light and T&S.

A shame though. I always thought the idea behind things like OUS and Majestic Mix were extremely awesome and worthy of all our support.

At least this lets me pick up the discs I was missing from my collection though.

Already had all of the CDs, but did order Silent Horror finally.

Sorry to see them close shop this way, but at least The OneUps Volume 2 CD is still in the works, so...

Regardless of the egos behind it, the last track made me smile.

Oh, and got my Volume 1 CD last week- professionally packaged.

That is a shame, I did enjoy their stuff. Maybe it'll resurface in the future at somepoint or maybe we can get some solo projects. I really enjoy their CD's.

BTW, how long did it take to get all of your CDs on average? The Silent Horror CD I ordered is nowhere to be found, I guess Dale North must be busy still, so I will give him sometime before inquiring again...

It's not like I am out a lot of money, just looking forward to hearing the music!

Protricity has become the bane of the OCRemix and VGMix crowd. Talk about a poor sport.

I really liked the OneUps sound, especially the cover of the Monkey BGM of Mario Paint. Sorry to see it all end.

How ya doing, buddy?

It took a substantial amount of time for me to receive the Xenogears Light CD. I think it was a couple of weeks, at least. There was no shipping notification either. I'd assume yours is still on its way.

Oh well, it took about 2 months, but had finally received the CD late July. Looks like the first copy was lost in the mail. Either way, good music!
