DDR Ultramix 4

With SuperNOVA and Universe hitting shelves before this game, I'm sure not too many people will be that concerned. However, there are some that still don't have a 360, so Universe will be out of the question.

Why does this matter to me? I'm getting all 3.

Anyway, I found an update on Gamespot earlier showing several songs supposedly confirmed for Ultramix 4.

That's a pretty big list for an early revealing. Of course, it's not a final list, so you know there will be more, and hopefully a few cuts. And as far as we know, the interface will still be the same crap that was the UM2 and UM3 interface, but possibly with some "galactic" twists.

Pre-release date is set for 11/14/06, release on 11/15/06.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It was good in UM2, but UM3 ruined it almost completely with the bubbly look. It's just my personal opinion.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Which means UM2's interface was great, UM3's sucked, and UM4's is like UM2's so it rocks.

That's IF they make UM4 slightly similar to UM2, then yes, it will rock. If they don't, then I pray it will have a darker theme. I just don't wanna see the crap that was the UM3 theme or even worse.

And this, my friends, is what our Ultramix 4 Box Art will look like. Honestly, I really like it. Good coloring, and it makes me think that they're trying to make this enging look futuristic, maybe...

Why does it remind me of Ultramix 3, just a different pose and a recolor?

I think the sillohuette is getting old. >_< We need some sort of spark in there now.

That game case design is basically the same as Extreme 2, Ultramix 3, Strike, and SuperNOVA CS. Just that this one is arguably the best of them all

Hmm.... that's odd... only 60 songs. Perhaps there are some songs that are still hidden, cuz I'd hate for this to be the shortest songlist in USA DDR CS history since, well, ... wait, not counting DDR USA or Konamix. I think Ultramix had the shortest list.

And yes, I'm purposely omitting Songpack songs from the list.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

So did anyone actually get this yet?

I was planning to but bought Madden 07 instead... At least it's only $30 this time around, so it's within normal purchase prize for me.

I finished the Quest Mode last night. However, I only ended up with about 80% of the songs, it said, and 30-something% of the movie clips. That's pretty retarded. I've got Paranoia Survivor MAX, but PS, nowhere in sight, and GameFAQs never posted how to get it.

Guess I just keep playing Lv. 5 stages in the Streets til I get stuff, I dunno. I'll figure it out.

Other than that, the default songlist isn't that bad after you play it, nor the songs you can unlock.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So this game is worth getting? That means I might have to get a new pad... I have one that will play on both the PS2 and XBOX, but for some reason, the XBOX one doesn't work.

Well, it really depends. Honestly, a vast majority of the songs I've personally never heard before this game. I was only familiar with the last 11 KO's and Waka Laka (default songlist), but now new songs are kinda growin on me, like:

Big Up (Binghi Ghost Remix)
Celebrate Nite (Like It's '99)
Cosmic Hammer
Dead Man's Party
Desire
Dual Love
GO! (Mahalo Mix)
Grandolin
More Serotonin
No Good (Start The Dance)
Oblivion (Nevarakka Mix)
Saturday (Morjac Radio Mix)
[Skulk (Konami Remix)]

Again, this is personally my NEW likes I know it's not much to go along with the KO's we know and love, but it's still pretty good for me.

If you're still hesitant, wait a couple more days or a week, and someone SHOULD have a gamerip of it.

Also, is Go! a hard song? With the way it was styled, I would hope so.

It's a 9 on Expert (yes, they used the SuperNOVA Difficulty names, except for Oni), although the ending will almost feel like a 10.

I'm gonna go on a limb and guess that Grandolin on Oni is a 10, or a really, really hard 9, because it's insane at times, or just feels that way.

So would I, but my Gamestop Ignition Style pad doesn't work with my XBOX. Reasons, I still have yet to figure out. Other than that pad, everything else I own is for the PS2, so I don't have a pad to play Ultramix on. T_T

Okay, apparently, I thought I was missing some songs, but according to one of my fellow players from Lake Charles who has the game, I've got everything. I only bought 83% of the songs in Quest Mode that would aid me in Quest Mode. So I've got all the unlocks, except for that Power Course, but I don't care about that.

I finally picked up the game, got it instead of Digimon, but that could wait.

I have yet to try all the songs, but the defaults aren't that impressive. I hope i'm wrong, but we'll see what happens.

I'm really likin' Akira's 2nd player outfit. Something I would SO wear.

That's ironic, because 83% of the people with UM4 care more about Power 5 being "MIA" than having/playing most of the song unlocks.
