Toys R Us - End of the Year Clearance Sale

According to Kotaku there's a clearance sale going on there. Looking at the list, the selection is pretty good. Since someone posted up that Circuit City one a while back, I figured I might as well post this up too. Apparently this started a while ago also. <_< So before it's too late...

Oh man, there are some great games in there! Hopefully I'll be able to stop by and see what they've got. With any luck, they'll still have Dawn of Sorrow and Gradius Collection, but I wouldn't mind checking out Battalion Wars or Metal Gear Acid 2, if they've got them. It's hard to beat getting 4 or 5 games for the price of one.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Holy crap at this list. If anyone hasn't picked up DoS or Advance Wars DS, now's definitely the best time to snag those. I wish I could get Steambot Chronicles , but I've only got enough spare cash for one game and that's Okami.

I have to make sure to remember this for the end of this year.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The text is part of the image and the two squires aren't exactly even.

Dammit! DoS for 10 bucks US, whereas it's here for 40 bucks Canadian! Bah!! I won't get the chance to get to a Toys R Us, so hopefully someone can get it for me. I could do with that YGO game too. Don't have any for the DS.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I hate you so much America. So much. I bet the only thing left by now is a mountain of Virtua Quest though. They should give that game away to everyone that enters the store. But then again, if word gets around of that, everyone will avoid TRU!

How ya doing, buddy?

Tell me about it. US gets ALL the good deals. I never see anything that low EVER in Canada, and we're just right above them! That ain't fair, I tell ya! The closest we get to a 'sale' is $19.99, and that's only for those PS2 Greatest Hits games. The cheapest GCN games are $24-29.99 >_>

For those of you attempting to take this list seriously, be warned.

The original contents were actually posted on December 24th, and then updated on the 26th. That means anyone who is taking advantage of the deals from this point onward will probably find everything already gone. Regardless, it's still worth a casual look to see if you'll find anything, but don't get too hopeful.

What Kostaki said. Everyone hit TRU on 12/26, and most of the good games are gone now. Unless you've got a ghetto Toys R Us where no one goes, you're probably out of luck.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Unless, of course, you want a game that nobody else would want. I doubt there's much interest for a YGO game :D

Crappers that I can't snag DoS though.

If you go into Best Buy on the right day, you can find brand new games as low as 7 dollars. I picked up Geist on that deal. Yeah, i never said they were especially good games.

Also, if it's cheap games you want, seriously, go to a second hand store somewhere. Entertainment Exchange (not sure if it's in the states) has used games as low as $5 Canadian, and they're garunteed to work. I've bought like 15 games from that place, and not a single one has had any problems. Also, i've seen some real second hand steals at EB games, believe it or not.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I've never heard of Entertainment Exchange, but I am not in the habit of buying used games anyway (I want to support companies), and I've been to Best Buy on several occasions with nary a sign of a sale, ever.

The US has it made, with sales for brand new games for really cheap. I wish the same happened in Canada. I actually saw some games for sale at Wal-Mart once, but the titles they were offering were all the games that nobody wants, or knows about.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Saw this deal on Kotaku last night, so I ran into the local TRU to hopefully snag Castlevania and maybe a few others. Well, they were cleared out of Castlevania of course, but I managed to pick up Trace Memory and Odama for $10 each, so it was still a pretty worthwhile trip.

I saw Odama at mine when I went but didn't really bother with it. Is Odama fun enough to actually warrant that kind of purchase? They had like 10 of them, so it's not like I'm in any rush. If others recommend it though, I'm willing to grab it.

I played it a bit when it came out, and I liked it, not enough to spend more than 10-15 bucks on, but enough to be happy to have it in my collection. It's easy to learn, and the voice sensing is spot on. It's fucking hard though, and not too deep; as such, it's not for everyone.

I checked mine out today... Not much of a selection on what's available. I think everyone cleared it out today... Couldn't even find a decent DS game. T_T

I could've picked up Jade Empire ~Special Edition~ for the XBOX, but didn't feel like it since my friend has a copy himself that I could borrow.

A shame no one probably managed to snag a copy of Steambot, which I'd get. (The demo was pretty rad), if we could get them in Canada. It's also Atlus, so yeah~.

You think there'd be interest in doing a sort of master thread of deals and such like these? Think CAG but on a much, MUCHHHHHHHH smaller level?

Like nuttyturnip said, I don't think it ends. I went there on the 12th or 13th and got Metal Gear Acid 2, Gradius Collection (which is impossible to play with the stock PSP D-pad), and Gunstar Super Heroes for a total of 30 something dollars with tax. Gradius Collection was marked as $19.99 I think, but I took it to the register and asked the guy how much it was, and it registered as $9.99. Like every other Toys R Us, though, mine didn't have Steambot .
