burning DVDs
any helps appreciated...
i recently downloaded entourage from torrentspy. i tried to burn the video files (avi) onto a dvd-rw disc w/ my dvd burner using this free software called click & burn CD & DVD but when the disc completes...it wont play on my dvd player. any idea wut im doing wrong? Most amazing jew boots |
More than likely your dvd player doesn't support data DVD (avi's). Best thing to do is download converting software. I, myself, use ConvertXtoDVD. I've played converted movies on my PS2 with no skipping whatsoever. I suggest you give that a go.

Yeah. AVI files are in a format that your computer can read. In order for your DVD player to read them, they need to be VOB files, so you need some software to convert them. This process involves converting them from whatever codec they currently are to MPEG-2, which can take some time.
Personally, I don't bother with converting them. I just use either a laptop with TV Out, or my modded xbox, which can play back all kinds of media files. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
