This Week In Comics (for September 20, 2006)

Comics I'm getting this week:

1) 52 Week 20
2) Astonishing X-MEN #17
3) Blade #1
4) Catwoman #59
5) Checkmate #6
6) Civil War #4
7) Civil War: X-MEN #3
8) Exiles #86
9) Ghost Rider #3
10) Ion #6
11) Moon Knight #5
12) Occult Crimes Taskforce #2
13) Sensational Spider-Man #30
14) Shadowpact #5
15) Ultimate Fantastic Four #34
16) Wolverine #46 (Civil War tie-in)
17) X-Factor #11
--------
Three Civil War books this week. About time number 4 came out. 'Occult Crimes Taskforce' is a comic that is co-created and co-written by actress Rosario Dawson. She is also the main character. The artists have done a pretty good job of recreating her for the book. The book is about detectives from the NYPD investigating the supernatural. The first issue was good, so I imagine number two will be good as well. I suggest you pick up the book.

Civil War 4 is the only thing that matters. Oh, and UFF. I guess Astonishing as well. I'll be picking up more or less the same stuff as you though. I didn't bother to look up the release list (as usual), so I don't know what else is coming out.

Wait, isn't Wildcats coming out this week? I'm grabbing that.

How ya doing, buddy?

Darn. Astonishing comes out. This story is taking forever to finish!

And maybe the release of Civil War will answer some questions.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Like everyone else, Astonishing and Civil War are the only two I'll be bothered to pick up this week.

It's about damn time CW4 hits.

How ya doing, buddy?

GI Joe is the codename for America's highly trained special mission force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against COBRA. A ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world.

All things Civil War (hopefully get my hands on the Turner variant as well), Astonishing X-Men #17, Blade #1, Sensational SM #30, Ultimate FF #34, X-Men First Class #1, Marvel Adventures Avengers #5, and maybe Witchblade #101.

Looks to be a heavy week for me.

Nope, I don't see it on the list.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Looks like DC pushed back JLA #2, I assume scared of CW #4 or something.

Anyway, Astonishing #17, Blade #1 (if I like the look of it), Civil War #4, Civil War X-Men #3, Ghost Rider #3, Runaways #20, Sensational Spider-Man #30, The Flash #4, Deadman #2. Could be the heaviest week for me since I started reading comics.

Quite happy about a new Astonishing, I really enjoy that.

Yup, that seems to be what they did. I didn't know that Runaways was coming out this week. Wow, excellent news. This is turning out to be a great week for comics.

I also picked up Flash #4 and Suprman #656. I didn't know about them until I got to the store. I guess I missed them on Diamond's list.
