Question Question on Super Famicom Magazine CDs

Well, just recently I downloaded a CD from Slightlydark called Super Famicom Magazine Volume 21 - New Game Sound Museum [TIM-SFC21]. I am very impressed with the quality of music and synth in this album, I hardly could differ which are the original and arranged ones (if there is one).

I'm wondering if anyone knows the origin of this CD, were they released as some free gift by magazine called Super Famicom Magazine, and do rest of the albums contain original music from Super famicom or actually, arranged ones? I'm really interested on listening these, there are some great tracks from game and composer I never heard before (esp. these in PC-engine).

Any information about these albums is very appreciated.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The Mr. Methane CD, purchased over ebay for .01¢. Yeah, free shipping. This guy performs all sorts of neat stuff, including the doot doot, doot doot from the Blue Danube.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.
I think he should have paid you .01¢ instead.

Whoops, I didnt bother to read that post. Thanks niki! =D (though I feel disheartened when there are 20 more albums to be hunted... )

anyway, since niki has answered my question, perhaps this thread could be used to discuss the music in these albums.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

We've been general calling them "Super Famicom Magazine Vol.XX", but we don't have full information for all of them yet, concerning actual titles, tracklists, and composers. I did find a site that has full tracklist and credits for some of the untranslated ones, but I haven't had time to translate them and put the information up on GFA. In fact, I think only one or two of the volumes are in the database right now.

This won't be a problem as we have them all already. 21 and 22 were the last ones to be discovered (:

I was speaking idiomatically.

I've been thinking about working on the ones that haven't been properly named and tagged yet, but haven't gotten around to it. Other people have been talking about it as well so probably it will get done one of these days.

Also, don't know if you know, but 3-11 were released by gamemp3s, so they are already done.

They're sitting on the server so you could get them from there, if you can. Or wait, you were suffering from that ISP ban on FTP transfers, right? Well anyway, just let me know if you want to get them from me.
