Kurado wants a butterfly!

Okay, I know there`s already a thread about tattoos around here somewhere. That one asked you what you thought about tattoos, etc. This thread, however, isn`t about what you think about them, if you have or would get one, etc. It asks what tattoo you would get if you had absolutely no choice. Be creative, take your time.

I have two, but I really want a Rooster. Why? Because it`s my Chinese Zodiac sign and I`m into that. Not that I deeply believe in that sort of shit, but still. Sad thing is, it`s hard to find a decent Rooster. So, eventually if I have to, this is what I`ll someday have to get put on me if I find nothing better. It`s a famous Guatemalan poultry brand.

No mames, guey.

As for my tattoo, I've had it figured out for ages. It would be the Mexican eagle; more specifically, the one that's in the center of the Mexican flag.

Naturally, I'd get an incredibly great tattoo artist to draw up a lot of detail into it and would be paid a handsome reward but that's pretty much it.

Surprisingly, the Mexicans in prison that I knew never had that tattoo. They just about always had the Aztec calendar though. That round thing, usually with some half naked woman in the middle.

And thanks for that rooster you have there. It just might be an option.

Yeah, there was a time when I actually considered an Aztec calendar myself, but then every gangster and their mother got one and they weren't appealing to me anymore. Shit... I even use them in my designs when I do anything for a Mexican restaurant. The eagle is more representative of my country where it's still symbolically significant since it's on the flag. That's where I'm from. The Aztec calendar is an ancient relic from a civilization that was wiped out by Europeans. Granted that it's our historical roots, that's not where I'm from.

Isn`t the legend behind the cactus/eagle something about how the Aztec God told it`s people to travel south until they found an eagle on a cactus with a snake in its mouth, and to settle there when they found this? What are the odds?

Anyway, that still seems pretty rooted in Aztec shit if you ask me.

I was speaking idiomatically.

It's VERY deeply rooted in Aztec mythology, yes. But the Aztec calendar was only that; a calendar. The vision of the eagle on the cactus killing a snake is literally the birth of our people and that's why it's still on the Mexican flag. That's why I want to use that instead of the calendar.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

By "our people" you consider the Aztecs your people... So why not the calendar if they`re your people afterall?

I never get to argue with people anymore. Sorry guy, I`m desperate.

Because to me the calendar doesn't hold as much of a symbolic significance to me like the eagle does. I guess I just consider the calendar to be more of an accompanying piece to our history as opposed to, you know, the VERY ROOT of it.

It's cool. Argue away.

Okay, the part where you said "to me" pretty much was good enough for me.

The Rooster from the Guatemalan beer Gallo isn`t so bad either, huh?

You know what? I never even thought about that one. Speaking of beer tattoos, I just remembered that I once pondered about getting a Newcastle tattoo, but then the emo kid population ruined it for me when they started putting stars everywhere on their bodies. Bunch of angsty little fucks.

I knew a couple of guys in prison that had three black stars tattoed over each eye. WTF is that about? Significance?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Hey October? As long as we are on tattoos, and you have been... around...

The tattoo of a tear under the eye. Is it under the right eye, you killed through use of a gun, and left eye, you killed through use of a knife? I really hope you know what I'm talking about, or I'm gonna look real goofy.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

It's one tear per kill on either eye. Here in Cali each tear represents someone you've killed for your "clicka". Mode of murder is pretty irrelevant; either way you achieve the same effect.

Which reminds me... The homies around here are slacking. They haven't had a funeral fundraising car wash in a while and my car is starting to get filthy.

My big brother (who knows a lot more about that stuff than me) actually told me something very similar. Didnt go into detail about what each tear meant though, but a tear under the eye is supposed to mean that you've killed somebody in various gang circles.

I remember when I went to Jersey to visit him for about two weeks I asked what this guys tat meant who was standing across from us as we were walking around downtown Newark and he told me. (along with with calling me a dumbass and smacking me in the back of the head for staring. XD) Coincidentally, the guy I saw had two or three tears. I don't exactly remember the amount.

I'd definitely get an M.C. Escher one, the one with the lizards initially drew on 2D that come to 3D gradually, can't remember it's name.

Picture this but with lizards instead of hands. Of course it would take a real tatoo artist to get it right. While searching for the pic I found this:

Man, they look like flaccid martian dicks fighting with each other. I pity that poor guy.

Other than that I'd like to have "La vida está en otra parte" tatooed on my back, it stands for "Life is elsewhere", a Milan Kundera novel.

I've been thinking about getting a blue Slime from Dragon Quest on my back or a Prinny on my arm. Before, I was debating on either the Slime or a Metroid, but I keep leaning toward the Slime.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Honestly I don`t know. I think the definition of it might change depending if you`re white or Hispanic. I even once heard that the difference in eye means if it was some friend of yours that died or someone you killed. Always though it was absurd to put something with that sort of significance on your body. Why do you need to let someone in on that?

Who knows, really. I once heard a guy wearing a tattoo on his right ear meant he was straight, on his left gay. But the REVERSE only if he was in California.

Yeah, but then there`s credibility. So many people have that teardrop and I doubt they`ve all done it. I`d rather carry around a picture of me after I had just killed someone.

YEAH! I KILLED HIM. THAT WAS KURADO.

I always thought about getting the White Pony logo from the Deftones album tattooed somewhere on my back.

I have a picture of a chick who had it done, and it looks hot, but Im not sure if it would look stupid on me. Odds are it would, unless accompanied by something else.
