Grand Theft Auto & Coke

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZsssYePi7k

Wow. I guess this ad is slowly starting to circulate around the net, and man is it funny. Now I don't know if it is ‘officially’ Grand Theft Auto, or meant to just be a look-alike, but I do know this - Coca-Cola truly is a magical product.

lol I have no idea why the hell it would be flagged, but it is.

EDIT:

Edited the link to a non-flagged version. It's the same thing.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

That's very clever. Take advantage of another product's negative publicity campaign in order to promote your product in an uplifting way? All advertisers must bow down to Coca Cola.

I loved that! Such a great ad. Now, are they actually showing this on tv?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
I poked it and it made a sad sound

Wow. This was pretty touching, actually. I REALLY hope they play it on TV.

I love that they took one of the more violent things they could think of and turned it into something like that. Bravo.

They should definitely use that, it's really quite good.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I have to see that ad every day at work in the theatre lobby, so they are definately using it, yeah.

I'd like it if it wasn't for the repetition of seeing it all the damn time.

Yeah. This ad is just damn clever. The more I watch it, the more I pick up on little things that I didn't notice before. The first time I watched it I never noticed him trip the purse-snatcher after he gave the homeless guy his leather coat. I also love how it does the little 'weapon change' to pull the fire extinguisher out, complete with sound effects. Awesome.

very awesome commercial. Probally the first i've seen where a non-video game company took a video game concept and played it out with a positive theme. Coke RULES~~ I applaud them

I guess I'll be the first to chime in with a 'what's the big deal?' attitude. It was alright, but it's not like it was the best commercial ever. Maybe reading all of you guys' comments beforehand hyped it up to me as being super excellent, but it was just alright.

Well, of course it's not the best ad ever. I just think that the whole idea was funny, and was executed incredibly well.

One last thing I noticed was him equipping a coke out of nowhere at the very end. Classic. (Coca-Cola Classic!)

Awesome! I'd never thought they would use a game as the base for a commercial. At 3/4 it becomes a bit too happy though but I guess that's what you could expect from Coca Cola.
I wonder why they're using Claude Speed instead of CJ though, why not use the character from the latest game?

How ya doing, buddy?

I like when he pulls the guy out of his car like he's gonna steal it and gives him a Coke instead.

Clever indeed.

I guess they do need some kinda concept to keep them from going Bankrupt. My mom works at The Coca Cola Company as an administrator. She said that they almost had to recreate Coca Cola. They were going to recreate it into something other than a Drink. I don't think that they are still considering this but my mom told me they were very close. (This was recently)

Coke Is not doing so well. Pepsi is blowing them away. (Especially in that commercial with the Sumo Chickens)

Actually, not to long ago... One of my mom's clients was arrested and sent to jail for trying to sell the Coke ingredients to Pepsi. How she got the Ingredients, I don't know, But I do know she could've gotten Serious cash had she not been caught.

Funny thing is... Pepsi was the one who ratted on her.

This surprises me, considering Pepsi tastes like rotten ass.

LOL, speaking from experience? Well the fact that we had to boycott Coke down here in Atlanta just for them to give equal pay may have something to do with it. For a long time no one in my family drank coke products. (Along with other families of course, we weren't in it by ourselves) It was all Pepsi for along time.

It seems that if you boycott you'll most definately get your way.

That's not a bad comercial. Here's sorta hoping i see it around TV at some point, but not in excess. I hate excess.

I certainly do hope someday we'll see actual GTA gameplay with that kind of graphics and detail + Smoothness.. Orgasm !!!

Oh and i like how the protagonist (sp?) is NOT CJ . Enough of the "Boyz in Da Hood" Wannabe-gangster crap. Black makes only one good star : Spawn, and that's because "he ain't gangsta". He's just badass.
