So I downloaded a .rar of a rare (at least to download) Tatu album, and of course it's passworded. I have no way of getting a password for it, since it's originating site is fucking Argentinian, so...I don't know what to do.

I tried searching for a .rar password cracker and came up pretty much empty. The one I downloaded didn't really do a whole lot but beep at me.

So, what can I do? Am I fucked? Did I waste my time and bandwidth? This is the ONLY download of this album I've been able to find, so the only recourse is buying it, which I guess I'll have to do if this ends up turning out like I think it will.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well I think you have two options. You can bruteforce it, which will probably yield no results unless the password is something stupid like "banana". Or if you can find at least one copy of one of the files in the .rar file, you can generally use it to crack the password simply. However this doesn't always work as I believe the type of encryption has grown more advanced and isn't as weak as it was. Otherwise you really don't have any options as far as I know.

you could try to post the website to see if someone here can read it and give you the password :\

I tried that (entering the url) which didn't work.

Good luck, as they've turned off registration so there's not even any way to request a password. You can't even view the forums unless you are registered.
