Eyeshield 21

Is there anyone else here who actually watches this? Personally, i'm a huge fan of the series.

I'm just waiting on the next episode to get subbed at this rate. So far, I like the direction the story is going in.

How ya doing, buddy?

I got interested in the series due to people posting screenshots on 4chan, so I sought out the manga. It turned out to be a pretty enjoyable read, though it's a shame the only group scanlating it is pretty far behind the releases in Japan. I watch the anime on occasion when I feel bored and I want something that doesn't require much brain power to watch, but primarily I'm interested in the manga.

There's just something about sports series that draws me in, I guess.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Same here. I didn't think it would be all that interesting either. I heard good things about it, but not being a fan of football, I had my doubts. After reading the US release mangas, I was hooked.

I'm enjoying the series, which is surprising to me, considering I'm not a fan of (Amerikan) football. Read the first few volumes and pretty much all the fansubbed episodes. The last few episodes were pretty solid stuff...looking forward to see what happens next.

I asked a friend to download it for me since I don't exactly have bittorent on my computer... Nor can I install it either... Stupid Limited Accounts on XP.

I really need to watch it though. I've been desperate to see what happens next.

Yeah I have been watching this since release and love it, Monta is hillarious and so are the other characters. Only thing that sucks is how slow it gets subbed.

Actually there is, we're up to volume #10 of the manga. You can get them on Stop Tazmo's site.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Sorry for reviving this thread but this show is a MUST SEE. There aren't many sports animes around that deal with superpowers but i'm glad I found it.

The first time i've heard about Eyeshield 21 was the NDS game. While the game isn't really a problem to play, I just hated to miss the story and the whole involvement so I ditched it. I haven't paid any attention to it ti'll I decided to just look the name up again in a anime database. Once I found it it caught my interest again and now i'm hooked

Currently i'm at episode 11 from Saizen fansubs. I just love Haruma torturing the shit out of everyone and Monta is awesome as well
I didn't know such a small group of people we're interested. Ain't Eyeshield 21 a popular shounen anime in Japan?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Don't worry, they're still subbing it but they're just slow at it. I know of Saizen they didn't quit. A few days ago they posted some news on the page regarding two projects, one of them being Eyeshield 21. They need a translator, translation checker and typesetter so I guess we'll have to be patient :/

I tried watching the anime, but it just didn't do it for me. I'm in love with the manga, though (especially chapter 197 XD!! )

Stoptazmo has most of the chapters ready to download (but, as someone already mentioned, it goes really slow in terms of downloading times), and mangahelpers has the rest

Cool, thanks for the tip man! Stoptazmo looks really good

And on-topic again, Saizen has just release episode 48! Seems they are taking the episodes from DVD so the quality will be much better. Nice

When I saw my friend watching this in the library I started to crack up because I never thought there would ever, ever, ever be an anime on Football. I love the sport, and to see it on anime was unbelievable. I gave it a shot and I'm kinda hooked XD. I'll need to borrow the dvd's my friend has on this one some time

That and ZZ has one of their songs in it too <3

Yeah, i'd never imagine an anime made around Football either. I guess that proves that the Japanese are capable of turning anything into a deep and interesting animation
Wish Saizen released things a bit faster though. Btw, why borrow DVDs when you can download from the intaanetto

Jam it back in, in the dark.
