TIFF decompression problem

I've got Quicktime installed on Windows XP Service Pack 2, but I can never decompress the TIFF images that my professors use in their PowerPoint or Word files. What am I missing?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

You might need Quicktime Pro? What do you mean by decompressing? Are you just trying to extract the image?
