Another art dump

Instead of shitting up the journal system with useless entries that feature my art, I figure I may as well contribute to the forums and hereby post all the things I would normally put in my journal here instead.

With that said, my first post is pretty much going to be reposts of old shit that most anybody who cares has seen already.

For references' sake, here are some links to old shit I drew way back in the day--newer stuff from the present year will be posted in seperate links so that it looks like this thread has some worthwhile content.

And now for 2008!

IN THE WORKS...

Just got to add a background or something for her, although I'm not really sure what I'll add just yet.

Yes, the date is correct. I've been working (not) on this piece of shit for a year. I don't know if I'll ever actually finish it or not.

oh I miss threads like this in the creators cafe.
Out of curiosity, what program do you use for your outlines and colors? Either way, I'm guessing the pen tool since its so clean. I usually get lazy using it but it just leaves such clean looking lines.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I work with a tablet (Wacom Bamboo) and I currently use a long-expired version of Easy Paint Tool Sai to do all of my digital drawing work these days. As you said, it gets clean, clean, CLEAN lines and I love it to hell. I hate that I can't afford to buy the program itself despite being retarded-cheap, however.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

oh that's such a coincidence, I just downloaded and tried a version of SAI this week and I love it. It loads fast, it's so simple, and the brush strokes are already set up for easy outlines. It lacks some features that corel and photoshop has but I think it's the simplicity that's so attractive about it

Yeah, Sai has pretty much replaced any other art program that I have (which isn't much--just Paint Shop Pro 8, OC, and Macromedia Flash which is NEVER used) and it sucks that the trial version is as short as it is. My advice for you would be, if you like the program a lot, to invest in it and buy a keycode, as it's long worth it.

toot toot christmas is over and now it's time to get serious with ART

or whatever!

PS: I can't design clothes for SHIT

EDIT: and even though it's not technically art, here's some handwriting I was thinking of turning into a font so that way I wouldn't have to actually write for things like comics... When and if I draw them.

I love the style of these missus, absolutely love it. The use of colour is rather wonderful. I love the Tingle pic, even though I hate that little shit of a character.

I really hate managing webpages and I don't know how to write HTML for crap anyway. Also, no self esteem when it comes to art so I'd never use anything of mine for a website.

Meanwhile I did this up today... Trying to work more on colors and shading.

Even though it looks a bit blurred out compared to the rest of the body, I'm loving the hair :3

Hrmm...yes, while I feel the line art style and the coloring style don't quite mesh, I do enjoy the detail in the shading and hair!
