Earthworm Jim (DS)

DS-Gamer states that there is the confirmed return of Earthworm Jim to gaming, in the form of sexiness known as the DS.

Quote:
The Dutch Nintendo DS fans claim that Atari has revealed during a press conference that the company is planning to bring Earthworm Jim to the Nintendo DS. Apart from that, DS-Gamer also reveals Atari Europe's release schedule for the following months:
August 25 - Dig Dug Digging Strike
October 13 - Asterix and Obelix Mission Wifix
November 10 - Point Blank
November 17 - Arthur and the Minimoys
November 24 - Totally Spies 2: Undercover
TBD - Earthworm Jim

Cool. Is it the same game as the one on the PSP? It sounds like it could be the same.

Peter Puppy for the win.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

So rad, EWJ's making a full comeback.~ But yeah, I wonder if it's just going to be a downgraded version of the PSP one, need more information and delicious screens. Then maybe some thread merging and moving will take place, duck and cover!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I am very interested to see what they are going to do with this series now.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

The logical answer would be "Put it on DVD," but I'm not sure. We can only hope we get sidekicks like "A Shadow."

Instead of a PSP port, I'm hoping it's a completely different game with entirely 2D graphics as well as gameplay, with a few stages incorporating 3D uniqueness. There are certain things that can only be done with 2D that can't be done with 3D, like the delicious photorealistic graphics in Level Ate in EWJ2... that was incredible.

The thing about EWJ is that each stage had you doing something marginally different from the last, it wasn't just "keep moving to the right and win". It was more like "first stage, navigate to the end! second stage, dig to the top! third stage, save the puppies by bouncing them on a marshmallow!"

And plus the animation was incredible. If this was fully 2D, including the graphics, it would be a real slice of pie.

We're talking about the games, not the show. (Jackass.)

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
