As I've mentioned in other threads, I've recently put together a media center pc, and the only major problem so far is my wireless keyboard and mouse choice. The space between the computer and the couch is about 7 or so feet, and currently I'm using a cheap wireless combo in which I have to use a usb hub to stretch the receiver far enough onto the coffee table in order for them to work.
So, what set do you guys recommend? Do the expensive Logitech wireless combos have good range? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Bluetooth combos have a range of about 20 to 30 feet.
I was considering getting one, but I heard they are kinda bad for gaming. They have a slight startup time that would drive and FPS player nuts. I went for the DiNovo Mobile set for the keyboard, but a wired G5 for the mouse. The extra mouse is great because of my Shuttle PC and it's mobility. There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Well, I wouldn't be doing much gamign on this computer other than emulation, and I've got controllers for that. But if Bluetooth is pricey, I may have to look for another option.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
