Atrac3plus & SonicStage acting weird!
I have recently bough a sony cd player (D-NE320) that plays atrac, mp3, and regular cds. With this cd player came a program called "SonicStage".
Well i followed the directions on how to burn an atrac3plus cd. I transfer like 230 songs and i change the settings to make the format "Atrac3plus 48kbps, then on the tranfer mode i set it to "Minimum Bit rate transfer mode" and make it burn at 16X (which is the highest it can go anyway). Well i dont like to stick arround and wait for it to burn, so i left to go do something. When i came back, The program wasnt even open and the cd was still blank! ![]() The cd player came with the 2.3 version of Sonic Stage. The cds i am using are Memorex CD-R 52X 700mb 80 min etc. Any help would be greatly apreciated, thanks. Jam it back in, in the dark.

You could try to upgrade the software. My father has a MiniDisc, and I too had problems with the damn thing (I still have in fact, and now I can't even get the bloody thing to work on my PC). They weren't the same as yours, though. Anyway, I use v3.4 (http://forums.minidisc.org/downloads...ls.php?file=21, full installer, some 20MBs) on my dad's laptop and there's now v4 (http://dl1.aii.co.jp/contents/connec...eInstaller.exe, one of those stupid installers which are only a few Kbs but then download tens of megabytes from the internet). This might help... v2 was flaky, if I remember correctly.
And don't ever, Ever, EVER manually delete the library information (stored somewhere in the Application Data folder of your user) - I did that, and now even though I re-installed a later version the damned thing will tell me that there's something wrong with the library and won't fix it. I hate Sony... There's nowhere I can't reach. |
