SoundCard Issue.

I've come upon an issue that I assume has to do with my soundcard. I've recently switched to using ZSNES for emulating games, as I feel SNES9x is becoming far too dated -- but that's besides the point. It seems that when playing games, ZSNES will freeze up my computer, and I'll hear an obnoxious glitching sound, forcing me to restart the goddamn thing.

I'm using a 5-year-old SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer card (I should probably just buy a new, better card) and Windows XP. I'm assuming there's some kind of conflict going on between something, but I can't figure out what, as I have no other sound drivers or hardware installed. Can anyone help me, or should I just buy a new soundcard?

How ya doing, buddy?

If it is a Audigy card you could try using the 'kX Project' Drivers, which are far superior compared to the creative drivers.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
