Is cell phone considered a 'hardware'?

Anyways I got a Verzion Razor v3m because a girl said I should be 'in', and I want to add ringtones , pix and what-not. I had a Motorola before and got the Motorola Phone Tools and they work great. But the Transfer Studio doesn't come up. I've been looking into it and Verzion screwed everyone by turning off that option and forcing us to use Vcast. I was wondering if anyone else has any help to take the pix off for free. I don't think jackasses at vcast need to see my 'special' pixs. Any help?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Without contemplating too much what you mean, I'll just say that: you need to hack your phone.

Go to the Motorola Phones section in the Verizon section of www.howardforums.com and look around.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
killmoms - Well, don't really.

If you use the bluetooth to access your phone, you can upload and download files at will. Used this on my macbook pro, and now I can even load up MP4 files to my Razr!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Not true, OBEX is disabled on the V3m. I have no knowledge of mods/tricks/"hacks" (stupid word) for the V3/V3m/V3c (pretty much the same phone), but if it's as easy as it was to fiddle with my V3x, you should be fine after reading around for a while here. ~sup

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

I don't know what you are talking about, all I know is it works like a charm. I click on the Bluetooth Icon up by the Airport icon to turn on bluetooth. Then I click "Browse Device" and select my phone and it does so. From there, a file structure comes up with folders such as video, audio, ringtone, pictures. There is a dialogue box to send and receive files, so I can transfer to my hearts desire wirelessly.

All I did was set my phone to discoverable once while the Mac searched and they linked up. It was that simple, no hacking required. I would imagine for any Bluetooth Mac with Tiger, it would work like that. As to a Windows PC with a bluetooth adaptor, who knows because it would all be dependant on the software included. It appears that the Razr can play QuickTime compatible MPEG-4 ASP SimpleProfile + LC-AAC files in the MP4 container. I made files at 177x120 because that's the size of the video files the phone records. Plays them back very well, as well as playing well my VBR MP3 files.

BTW, I think I have the V3c but I can't remember. It is the Verizon Razr phone though, and about 1 year old.

I was speaking idiomatically.
