audio solution
What would be a nice way to make a computer play audio for more than one zone?
At my sister's wedding reception, when the band is not playing, she wants light music. The place where this is at has a good sterio there but it is only for the inside. I wish there was a wireless usb device that allowed a reciever to pick up those signals and play them. Is there? or something similar? Joseph Most amazing jew boots |
The only solution I've heard of that plays music simultaneously to different zones wirelessly and in sync is the Sonos digital music system, which is not cheap. Still though, quite cool. You can check it out at www.sonos.com.
If you only have two areas where the music's going to be playing, you might just think about running two long mini-jack extension cords from a splitter on the computer to your outputs (whatever they might be, add adapters and other miscellany as necessary). There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yah, ive read up on those things since... Yikes. Since I have a copy of windows server 2k3 (evaluation) and I'll have 1 maybe 2 wireless capible laptops there on the day, I might just use windows media services to broadcast a playlist so it will be sinc
Don't know for sure yet though, thanks for your suggestion.. Joseph How ya doing, buddy? |
