That's not actually the case. The "missing" post in question was physically removed, i.e. it no longer exists in the database.
Now, if this had been done manually, or if it were simply "soft deleted" (made invisible to non-staff), the thread would display 12 pages as per normal. However, the member who made the post had all his posts purged. When this is done via the admin panel, vBulletin does not update the thread details (thread details such as number of replies are stored in the database instead of being calculated on-the-fly to lessen the strain on the server), therefore it thinks there's still 13 pages. Forcing a manual update of post/thread details would fix the problem, but it's unnecessary -- plus it's just simpler to wait for someone else to make a new reply.
