lil page problem...

well I found out that in the avatar and sig request thread there's a 13th page but as "nothing" in it, well in fact I click on it and it return me to page 12

don,t know if it was a known issu, just wanted to show ou that...

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The reason it's there is because the post isn't deleted - it's made "invisible" by the mods. However because you're not on staff, you don't have permissions to view it. So to counter this, vBulletin sends you back to page 12. If you did have permissions, you would indeed have a page 13.

That's not actually the case. The "missing" post in question was physically removed, i.e. it no longer exists in the database.

Now, if this had been done manually, or if it were simply "soft deleted" (made invisible to non-staff), the thread would display 12 pages as per normal. However, the member who made the post had all his posts purged. When this is done via the admin panel, vBulletin does not update the thread details (thread details such as number of replies are stored in the database instead of being calculated on-the-fly to lessen the strain on the server), therefore it thinks there's still 13 pages. Forcing a manual update of post/thread details would fix the problem, but it's unnecessary -- plus it's just simpler to wait for someone else to make a new reply.
