Arrow MotoGP '06

So Microsoft has a demo of this shit out on Marketplace now. Almost a full gigabyte; and since the servers are still a warzone with that H3 trailer out, the ETA for finishing the download is like 45 decades. I'll let you know how good it is once it's done.

Anyway, even though I don't care for motorcycles in real life, and a lot of racing games end up being pretty homosexual, the MotoGP games usually turn out being fun somehow. I probably spent at least 48 hours worth of time on that MotoGP demo that came with the first Xbox Live subscriptions in 2002, just going backwards on tracks and running into people to piss them off. Unfortunately, they have a somewhat successful member rating feature out now on XBL that would prevent me from doing that, so I'll have to actually find out if the game is still as fun while going forwards.

Coming this summer.

How ya doing, buddy?

Downloaded it, but didn't have time to fully play it. I crashed my bike in a wall and that was it for now. I'll play later. And the fact that you can play up to fifteen players since there's an online mode is quite fantastic!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Ain't even kidding, this is MotoGP 1 with better graphics.

This track on the demo is the exact same fucking track as the MotoGP demo from 10 years ago. Except in this demo you have even less options for bikes/tracks.

Lol, I couldn't resist, I started going backwards on the track and my reputation lost a few points.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

What are the graphics and controls like? This is definatley on my 'to buy list' when I can get a chance to nab a 360.

With this being my first experience with Moto GP, all I can say that the game is absolutely awful. The graphics aren't impressive at all (those screens look good, but it sure doesn't look like that ingame), the controls are weird, the first-person view doesn't even show you the hud on the Bike, etc. etc. Maybe fans of Moto GP might like it, but those who aren't probably won't.

It also might not have been a good idea to try this game just after playing the Lost Planet demo, which was awesome.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So it's another 360 graphic demo then?

I'm all in favour of flashy graphics but some substance wouldn't hurt once in a while. Are there any details on the final track/bikes content or anything?

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
