Trouble Accessing a Drive
So I'm backing up my friends drive... but I can't access the files on the desktop of his Harddrive because it says I do not have access. I know his password, but I'm not sure if that's the issue. I need to get the to files on his desktop. How can I do this?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
You would say more details, like the OS of your computer and the one installed on the hard drive? And you're trying access a specific user document folder only?
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() Data / deviantART “It’s the games themselves-not the graphics, not the music, not the pure processing power-that make the fun.” |
I figured this out, incase anyone is wondering, you start windows in safe mode, and right click on the folder you wish to access, and hit Properties. Under Security tab, press Advanced. Then select Owner, and put a check in the box saying you want to gain access.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
