Question Final Fantasy Bonus Collection

Ok I think I'm posting in the right place, if I'm wrong please don't be an ass about it.

So I bought these Final Fantasy CD's off of Ebay. I got them, and they weren't what I was expecting. It was a collection of all Final Fantasy CDs related to the series, but not the OSTs (Like Black Mages, More Friends, Pray, etc.). At first, I thought it was a scam-They were not shipped in their original jewel cases, yet but in a box with individual sleeves. I'm uploading them into my iTunes, and they read in Japanese, which makes me think they are valid. But the CD screen prints look too...good. I do own some Japanese import Final Fantasy CDs, and they too look too 'good,' so I can qualify it by comparison. But I still can't help but think I was scammed. Granted, I'm no 'completist' when it comes to collecting things like FF CDs, so I'm not crushed they arn't in their original packaging. But do you think ya'll could help me out?

Can someone post scans of the front of any FF related CD (I'm sure it was included in the collection I bought) so I can see if the ones I have match up. In particular, Love Will Grow-I saw a CD scan of it on the internet, and it looks nothing like the one I have (the others do tho)-I know LWG was republished like once or twice, but the one I have looks..cheap. It has a violin on it... Also, do any of these CDs that you own have the 'All Rights of the Manufacturer and of the Owner of the Recrded Work Reserved' disclaimer? I find this on some of the Ebay CDs I bought, but this does not appear on the import FF CDs that I own. Anything will help-Thanks!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Congrats, you've just bought a bootleg product.

Next time, please avoid these so called "Collection Sets".

Normal OSTs won't be sold lower than 30$ apiece. So yeah, you got scammed.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Oh well-Like I said I'm not looking to own the originals...I just wanted the music...

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If all you wanted was the music then you should just download it next time instead of supporting a bootlegger. (Granted you didn't know about this being a shitty bootleg when you bought it) Atleast you don't seem to mind that it's not authentic, but the next person who gets scammed by this idiot might.

Yeah-This is true...

Like I know I get pay for (most) of them on iTunes, and download the rest on Limewire or something, but then I don't know which is worse, illegally downloading, or supporting a bootlegger...probably the bootlegger :P But yeah, I mean at least I'm getting my music...
The only ones I really care about, which I own the originals of, are the Piano Collections and their sheet music-took some time and money to get them, but I have them now

Meh.

I was speaking idiomatically.

So long as you don't download from a shithole like GH or other sites with loads of ads, illegal downloading is much better than supporting bootleggers. Bootleggers profit from your purchases by a phenomenal proportion and from that profit, they can make more and more cheap CDs while also making a fortune. It's exponential growth only limited by people gaining more awareness of them. If you want a reliable download source, try the FTPs here; LimeWire is hideously unreliable. Otherwise, though, I'd recommend CDJapan, the SquareSound Music Store, Game Music Online as reliable sources for legitimate Final Fantasy CDs.

Yeah, downloading is better than supporting pirates. Not as good as owning the real things though...Good to know my CD's won't disappear if my hard drive crashes (and I haven't made back-ups).

What kind of friend has you pay him for burning a CD?

So in the future just head over to the Trading section and keep your money out of the bootleggers' pockets

I did something like this when I started listening to VGM a long time ago. I didn't know of a place to go to get music so I shopped around and went with the cheapest I could find... low and behold, they were bootlegs but I had no idea at the time.

Anyway, they have been sitting around ever since and I want to get rid of them all of a sudden. At first I thought to put them on ebay but then I thought about how I would be the selling the bootlegs. What should I do... nothing? Pitch 'em? Find someone to take them from me? There are 10 by the way.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I made this same mistake as well last year, on summer holidays. I bought seven or eight bootleg soundtracks and I wasn't aware of it.

But, don't sell bootlegs on eBay, or anywhere for that matter. You'd be supporting the bootleg companies nonetheless. Myself, I would just trash them, or, if you wanted to put them to good use, you could use the bootlegs for listening to your CD player or car stereo and have the legitimate albums stored away somewhere safe.

About those 'Super' collection sets... I almost bought one of those before I knew about VGM bootleggers. I'm really glad I didn't.

Most amazing jew boots

Not everyone have internet connection you know. Some of my friends do for $2.5, but I prefer trading with them.

You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

None of that approaches this:

The Mr. Methane CD, purchased over ebay for .01¢. Yeah, free shipping. This guy performs all sorts of neat stuff, including the doot doot, doot doot from the Blue Danube.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.
I think he should have paid you .01¢ instead.

Like exchanging DVD's? I did that awhile back with some people on here and I gained quite a bit of music fast!
