Delmon Young, super-prospect, throws bat at umpire.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2423307
This is ridiculous. Shocking. This kid is the top prospect in all of baseball, probably regarded as the best prospect since the likes of A-Rod and Junior Griffey. Basically here's what happened: he disagrees with a call that the umpire made, gets ejected, and then THROWS HIS BAT at the umpire AND HITS HIM. If you watch the video that accompanies the ESPN article, you will be shocked at the velocity of the bat. I had read about the incident last night and this morning and was sort of skeptical about it being as bad as they were saying. After watching the video, I am just shocked. Most amazing jew boots I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall. |
That's certainly a dark spot on his record. If the ump was injured there would really be hell to pay. He's lucky it just bounced off his arm like that.
How ya doing, buddy? |
