Virtua Fighter 5

Go to gametrailers and check the videos, this game looks great.
The graphics are superb with very detailed character animations.
The gameplay seems tweaked too.
Anyone played the game on arcade yet??

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Some of the transitional animations need work.

I've never been a Virtua Fighter fan, and these vids didn't really give me any urge to play the game myself.

Hopefully the game is still a work in progress because the punches and grabs don't look painful at all, and the environments are awfully bland.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The game looks great, but I've never really been a big arcade fan. I'm waiting for them to announce a console version (hopefully on a next-gen console, so they can fully pull off those graphics).

The graphics in this game are ridiculous. I've never been a Virtua Fighter fan though. But wow, eye candy!

I doesn't look that hot to me. But I haven't really been in the Virtua scene for a while now.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Are they ever going to go back to having uneven levels like in Virtua Fighter 3? Am I the only person who liked this idea?

Yeah, uh, it'd actually be nice if they constructed a proper fighting system in Virtua Fighter instead of just simply pumping out the latest graphics. Sega did this to the Saturn, to the Dreamcast with 3TB's "few weeks after launch" release, and now possibly this.

If you're going to play a fighting game for graphics then you're doing it wrong, but the graphics sure are amazing here. Evolution was a good game, but I didn't really enjoy the lack of moves they managed to stick in. Going overboard with moves isn't going to solve the problem either, but fighting physics are usually based on how balanced characters are.

Oh, and that cherry blossom tree looks alot like the one in Dead or Alive 4. It might just be me though.

I am Tekken fan , a diehard one.

VF4 i really liked,looking forward to VF5.

DOA never attracted me gameplay wise due to easy button mashing wins and easy countering that requires 2 button(back+block).

Played v4... Got into it, then out... The game looks great, but it looks like nothing new is coming out of this.

It's starting to become like DoA...

Ive always seen DOA as a party type of game, you are bunch of guys that have had a beer or two and just want to have some fun and talk shit. DOA is perfect then. It takes 5 min to learn and then you can have a blast.

Exactly, i won the championship in my country in 3 games.
KoF,SoulCaliber3 and Tekken 4 and i am an expert in fighting games but my amateur cousin beats me up in DoA3 with ease ,thanks to button mashing.

now now it's not that bad hahah. The counter system is pretty cool nd in especially in DOA3 you can counter pretty much everything just like that.

It pretty much looks like all the previous Virtua Fighter games but with better graphics. This became apparent when I watched one of the characters get hit and fall backward through the air, and then upon subsequent blows, the same falling animation repeated itself in a sort of corny physics-defying way in which somehow getting hit horizontally while in the air can theoretically launch you vertically through the air.

In this way I just described there's something sickeningly formulaic and robotic about the animations, so much that I can fail to see how it will be superior to say, Virtua Fighter 4 in any way besides graphics. In an odd way I don't know what to expect to improve upon this, but my guess is that I want more randomness for the sake of realism. I am suspend my disbelief that one can take powerful blows to the body and get up and continue fighting, but that's about where it ends. Please, some developer do something new for games.
