Ghost Stories
This weekend I was hanging out having drinks with a friend and we were up all night. But when 3 am came around, a rooster next door to my house crowed and she said, "Oh man! It's dead hour, again. I bet that rooster saw a ghost!". This sort of puzzled me because I'd heard of dead hour before but I'd never really heard it being said in this context. I'm told "dead hour" is the time when most terminally ill patients pass away because, in R.E.M. sleep, the body is at its most vulnerable and the immune system doesn't fight as fiercely anymore.
Really? Ghosts? Like, there is a ghost that terrorizes roosters all over the world at 3 am (and again at sunrise) for no other reason than it's bored? What whack stories of ghostly apparitions do you have? Please don't let my eventual ridicule of your delusions discourage you from telling me about the time you filmed a promising sequel to "The Blair Witch Project" or the you and your teenage girlfriend were scared by a mysterious shadow and inspired you to make a video game. How ya doing, buddy?

Wark! |
Me and my friends also talk about the ghost stories and work something naughty for that. We had lots of fun by the name of Ghost and some times fear also. My friend is the encyclopedia of the ghost stories and the logics behind that.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |

I believe that ghost really exist but i think that why they suppose to harm us when we are not responsible for his (ghost) situation. But i do scared by the story of ghosts esecially in night time. I avoid seeing scary movie in night time.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Oh man, I have quite a few! But none of them come directly from myself, but from my family members so I believe them.
The first was when I was about 6, my sister and I used to be quite close and we played dolls. We had separate rooms, and to make our game seem more adult we put apartment numbers on our doors. She put the number 114...at least I think it was that. But whatever. In the morning as soon as I open my door she runs out of her room and goes straight into my parents room crying her eyes out. She says that in the middle of the night she saw a ghostly image just stand there in her room. She said it was of an old woman, and that it just stood there and then sort of drifted towards the wardrobe. Even creepier, she said that the latch of the door closed behind her, which was kind of creepy because that door NEVER closed properly unless you slammed it shut. Continuing the story, my Nana came around the next day and my sister tells her all about what happened. So my Nana goes upstairs to check the wardrobe thing, but then she notices the number that was on the door and says "Why did you put 114 on the door?" and my sister says "I don't know" "Well that's your great grandmother's old house number. She was probably just checking in on you." Creeeepy. Another one came from my Dad. Now my papa is no bullshitter, and he is the most closed minded guy to supernatural bullshit except ghosts because he says he's seen a few. My Grandad still has the house that my Dad and Uncle grew up in, and the house that my sister, cousin and I used to stay in over the summer sometimes. So anyway, the bedroom was a loft conversion, and let me tell you that room was FREAKY. I don't know what it was about it, but it just made me very uneasy. It was really long and at the end there was a little room where the boiler was. Anyway, one day a few years ago at my house during dinner, we started talking about Nana since she passed away. My sister and I were reminiscing about that room and saying how creepy it was. My Dad suddenly started getting really edgy and then said "...actually. I never told you both this, but I saw a ghost in there once. It came from the room at the end and just walked right down the room and out the door." We were quite pissed off/relieved that he didn't tell us the story when we were younger because there's no way in hell I would have slept in that room if I knew that one. Finally, I heard the ghost of my dead dog once. I had two dogs Pepsi and Max (geddit hrhr), but Max died really young. There was a really distinct sound that the dogs made when they jump down off my parents bed and run downstairs (since they sit in my parents room and look out the window). Anyway, one night I was on my own on the phone to my friend, and Pepsi was in the room with me. All of a sudden I hear upstairs in my parents room a couple of barks that sounded exactly like Max, then the sound of a dog jumping off the bed and trotting out the room. The floorboards are really thin so there was no mistaking that it came from upstairs. I was scared shitless, but what made it worse was that Pepsi started barking, wagging her tail and looking at the door all excited. That's about as close as I've got! I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
There are a few back at home.
There is a story of a ghost ship that would come into the harbor on Halloween, and there is one of a old woman with long white hair and blood on her face that would ride a rusty wheel chair on a hill call 'spirits hill'. That place it creepy, there are no street lights there so it's pitch black, and there is a cemetery there (Well there is two now if you include the new one that opened) I was speaking idiomatically. |
