Shinigami no Ballad

Shinigami no Ballad

Momo is a young female death god who takes souls of humans. While doing her job, she also feels the depression and sheds tear for every life she has to take. This is a story about a Death God that goes through good (which is watching) and bad times (when she has to take life).

Episode 1 : Your Voice

I probably might edit to add more info to it. Um... the show started off pretty well with a good OP and ED. Looking at the next episode preview makes me think that its going to focus on different characters. i never read the manga (if there is one that is) so if this is how the story will be then i approve of this story/anime.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Saw this last night, it left a strong impression. The 1st episode was pretty touching and sad, too bad it has to be one shot stories.

Spoiler:
poor Mai I have a soft spot for sick characters

reminds me of a reverse Jigoku Shoujo. look forward to seeing more of this

Fantastic news. Jigoku Shoujo is boring me for there is nothing to keep me hooked. I'll be waiting for Triad's subs.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The first episode was boring and too ... blah.

I don't think I will be following this series.
It felt like an less scary Vampire princess Miyu, aimed for children.
Someone dies in every episode and it's supposed to be supersad yaddi yadda yaddah. It's been done over and over again.. and quite frankly, making it sad all the time sorta takes off the niceness of it.

Even though the whole animation + characters didn't really get to me, I'm going to give it another episode, before I dump it.

I really liked it. It kinda has a pace similar to Aria. Not action packed like those fighting series. From watching episode 1 anyway =p It also reminded me of Kita He ~ Diamond Dust Drops, where every 2 episodes is about a different character each time. This will prolly tie me over till season 2 of Aria starts.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I think I worded that wrong, since you got the wrong idea. They're basically the same type of idea, but except this show is much more happy, lighthearted, etc. so you'll probably find this one boring too.

I'm d/ling ep 2 now. This show intrigued me as well. I'm getting very low speeds for this series though. I guess no one's interested

Note: I also love Jigoku Shoujo; been wanting to make a thread in free time. Interesting and clever analogy comparing the two.

How ya doing, buddy?

I'll try the first episode, it sound interesting in my opinion. And to be honest, I really liked the photo of the Shinigami.

I've just watched the first episode, it's very good.

Spoiler:

It's so sad when the little girl dies and asks her friend to take care of the cat

When watching this anime the next thing I thought was : Wouldn't it be good if there were a Valkyrie's Profile anime ?
It could be a lot like this one, but with more strong emotions and a bit of action.

This series almost reminds me of a blend of Full Moon wo Sagashite with the whole death god motif. Every episode drips with angst and stays interesting because of that, especially with the way the characters come to terms as to what happened (like episode 2). The fact that many of them change for the better keeps the series from being too depressing (which isn't a bad thing).

I'm interested in seeing how this series develops in the way Momo interacts with the other characters. Hopefully not all of the situations will involve romance, or at the very least, stay interesting without being overly repetitive.

in exciting news.. the 3rd episode is out.

http://a.scarywater.net/c1anime/[C1]...2].avi.torrent

*currently watching*

edit : just finished the episode. Another good episode. i think they were sorta promoting ps2 and psp in this episode but only cause:

Spoiler:
Kantarou's grandfather loved games and he eventually died a while back in Kanta's past. No one died in this one. it was just another lover's thing with him and the other girl with glasses. the next episode looks a lil serious to me and someone will die .

edit : ooh sry , bigz

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm sorry, I'm not realy up for these 'of the day shows to be honest.

I got burned to high hell with Jinkou Shojo (hahahahah, Conan-san made a pun!) and I'm not having it happen here.
