Very nice game album sale at Lik-Sang - $0.99 - $9.99

I heard that Lik-Sang was having a sale on soundtracks, so I figured I'd let everyone know. I don't know a whole lot about game soundtrack prices, since I don't usually buy them, but it looks like there are some very good deals. Most of them are between $0.99 and $9.99. There's a lot of Final Fantasy and Beatmania stuff there, as well as various others like Soul Calibur III and Konami Game Freaks.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

Are they legitimate, though? I'm not seeing any product ID numbers, which leads me to believe they may be bootlegs.

Yeah, I'm wondering about this as well. But if it's legit, I'm loading up on FF soundtracks. It's a good thing I held off until now.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

well if you check carefully on the beatmania The Best Prominent, it's the good catalog number. Maybe the picture is only a reference, not necessairly the item they have in stock though...

I've run a search on this site, and could only find one negative point of the site that is of value to this topic. You can take this as much as a grain of salt:

http://webpages.uah.edu/~colling/random.html
Scroll to the bottom, and the description of the site reads as "Do you like bootlegged anything? Have you ever wanted a portabel NES or a Panosonic Gamecube? Then go here, they will bootleg your cat and sell it back to you at affordable bootleg prices. Lik-sang - The Most Trusted Name in Bootlegging."

It'a a Hong Kong based company, so I wouldn't be surprised if it does sell bootleg items. The Asian market (especially China) has serious problems when it comes to bootlegs. I wouldn't buy from this site, as Japanese imports are rather expensive. It just doesn't seem trustworthy at all. Under 10 dollars for Japanese videogame soundtracks? It must be a match made in Heaven, because that's pretty unrealistic to me.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Lik-Sang used to be a 100% bootleg site displaying it openly. My friend bought super famicom copiers from them back in the days. They changed a bit with sucess along the years, but I wouldnt trust them for sure.

The albums seem to be legit, but thats highly questionable. I dunno, I might go ahead and swipe all the 99cent soundtracks though. Bootleg or not, that is still a good deal.

Haha nevermind, all the 99cent ones are basically sold out.

I'd be suprised if these weren't bootlegs. Not only is lik-sang, as niki said, a known retailer of third-party and bootleged goods, but some of these prices are also just too good to be true.

It would probably be possible to verify by shooting them an e-mail though.

Yeah, I had my doubts on this sale when I saw the prices. VGM albums are almost always more expensive than licensed music, going at least $20 per CD. So I'll pass.

I'm not gonna look into what the catalog numbers of these albums are, but if they're legitimate, then I'd be surprised as well.

are they 100% bootleg for all products or are you all referring to the soundtracks only ?

The prices of those FF OSTs makes me want to cry. If they are legit, then wow, it's the sale of the century. As it stands, however, it looks way too good to be true. If not, then I'd certainly be stocking up on the above-mentioned titles and Naruto.

P.S. I got the FFVIII OST several years ago for 20 bucks USD, which I thought was a very good value. It's an official product.

P.P.S. I never buy bootleg CDs/DVDs, no matter how cheap they are.

How ya doing, buddy?

Hmm, I don't really think they are bootlegs. Most of the game stuff offered are beyond $30 actually. Maybe they are really just giving sales.

You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.

Oh man, I'd buy few of the FF OST's right away if I'd know for sure that they're not bootlegs. Well, I might buy one and see for myself. It's not that expensive.

edit: Well, I ordered FFIX OST Plus, paid about 7 euros for the OST, plus the shipping costs. I'll let you guys know if it's bootleg or not once it arrives.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Ok, the package arrived friday, fetched it today and took some pictures with my cellphone, so the quality isn't great, sorry. I ordered more after the original order, so that's why there has been delays...

I checked from GMR the catalogue numbers, and they matched. Genuine SquareEnix products, all of them, so I guess it was pretty good offer.

Wow, nice.

I ended up not ordering anything. Most of the stuff I wanted was sold out, and I think the shipping was high.
