The Eagle has Landed: Policenauts

Policenauts Translation Website

One of Hideo Kojima's most masterful and engrossing game projects has finally been translated into English by the Policenauts Translation team. Set in the not-too-distant future of 2040 AD, Policenauts, the spiritual successor to Kojima's critically acclaimed Snatcher, is a point-and-click adventure game that follows "Policenaut" Jonathan Ingram in an extraterrestrial environment plagued by fear and peculiarity. In what promises to be one of the strongest and most well-told stories of gaming, replete with cutscene animation and voice acting, Policenauts is certainly not a game to be missed, particularly for fans of Snatcher, Hideo Kojima, or gaming in general.

Sadly, due to my exams I can't play this ASAP like I was hoping to, but I'll definitely be giving it a thorough playthrough when they're done! So is anyone else as excited about this as I am, or am I one of a very distinct minority? Naturally, you can find out more about the game on its Wikipedia article.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Fuck yes! I've always wanted to play this game, especially after the excellent although very derivative Snatcher. I'd love to see remakes of those two games but it's highly doubtful. Oh well.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Here's a link with everything you need to play this.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
Hey, maybe you should try that thing Chie was talking about.

I just played the first half an hour or so of this game. I didn't realize there was that much voice acting in this game. Really amazing style so far, I absolutely love it. I really hope Kojima gets freed from MGS-sequel slavery (which he clearly doesn't give a flying fuck about), and back to writing these awesome visual novel style games. Make him work on some DS games like Time Hollow, Konami.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
