Is there a program that tells you how many threads are running on a given process? I'd be really interested to find out!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I think your best bet is Windows Process Explorer.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

There's no need to use anything special. Open up the task manager, and in the "View" menu, choose "Select columns". Tick the "Threads" checkbox.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
