Some photo stuff.
I took up photography recently, generally I work with drawing in charcoal and pencils, sometimes working in acrylics and oil. Anyways, I thought I'd just put a few of them up here just for the fun of it, any thoughts?

Hey, I like your work very much!
This one is the best! There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Yeah I kind of liked that one too, but it's so extremely simple so I find it slightly confusing considering how well it works.
By the way, the photobucket link is http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m...iensis/photos/ if the pictures doesn't come up on the thread (I noticed one picture ended up smaller than the others for some reason). This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Sick work. Most amazing jew boots |
![]() This is my favorite. Do you do any paintings/drawings of landscapes? Most amazing jew boots |
I mostly work with portraits and still life when drawing, sometimes I play around with perspective (architecture), but not landscapes.

Fantastic work! I'm particularly fond of your transport sign picture. Simplicity is elegance IMO, and the smooth contrast of the blue sky is real puurrty (hey I might even set this as my desktop wallpaper if you don't mind!). Looking forward to seeing more of your works.

Very nice!!! I was into Photography when I was in high school. The class was very short and brief though. I wish I would have stuck with it. I love good pictures and these are WONDERFUL!

wow, are these on deviantart? Most people just throw pictures around, I like the one best of the water droplets, the way you have the photo taken it looks like they're falling, makes them awesome

Neat.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Actually, they really are falling. It's from a fountain next to the dock. I was speaking idiomatically.

Here's a newer batch of pictures, I've played around with editing lately.
This one's from Karl Johan, by a coinsidence I had actually tried sitting in one of these cars just a few weeks before I took this picture, I newer knew american cars could be so comfortable ![]() This one's from playing with my macro lens, the wall is just something I took to use as stock to play with. ![]() Another self portrait, I like taking portraits of people, but I don't get too many people to model for me. ![]() Another editing experiment just playing with some stuff I took to use as stock. ![]() Same here, just that the pictures are a lot older. ![]() This is from the aether factory in Oslo, I kind of like the imprisoned expressioned of the wires and the low depth of field. ![]() This one's from Nydalen, not far from where I live, it's a historical industrial area of Oslo. ![]() I like playing around with still life when I feel like playing it safe. ![]() I gave a print of this one to my sister, she could chose from a variety of others, but she seemed to find this very decorative. ![]() The cropping of the head isn't all that well done, but I still think it has personality. ![]() What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I especially love the contrast and texture in this. The colors work quite well with the buildings.

God; the one of the car is exquisitely edited. Nicely done. Love the smokestack/barbed wire one, too.

As I haven't uploaded anything new for a while here, I thought I'd add a new pile for the fun of it.

Eye sex. See ya next batch.
![]() I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
This one is just awesome. My brain is having issues figuring out which way is up. Great work, keep it up.
EDIT: no, wait, I think I figured it out. maybe. It takes a while every time i look at it though. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
These are all really good.
What kind of camera are you using? What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Nikon D80 with lots of relatively cheap (but still very expensive somehow) zoom lenses, and one 50mm prime lens.
Most amazing jew boots |
I've been considering upgrading to a D80 sometime this year.
What lenses are you using, exactly? What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
My wide-angle is a Tokina 12-24 f4-5.6
Normal: Sigma HSM 17-70 f2.8-4.5 - seems good, very fun, but a pain in the ass at times Tele: Nikon 70-300 f 4.5-5.6 - I should have bought Nikon all the way, the Tokina's quite good, but I have a suspicion that it's because the company was started by a couple of guys from Nikon. And as I mentioned earlier a Nikon 50 f1.8. If I wasn't so poor from already spending too much money on all sorts of stuff I'd get a Tamron 90 for macro and portraits. As well as an SB-600 to use as a slave for my SB-800. The D80 is outdated (lacks sensor cleaning system), I'd suggest the D300 which is much better built, the D90 seems good too.
