Storing DS Games

With DS cards being so small, how do you guys store them for transport and such? I don't really have anything made to carry them, so I end up just using the case they come with. Which, may be a bit cumbersome since the case is much larger than the game itself.

I dunno, any creative ideas? It's a bit annoying to carry around 3 or 4 cases.

How ya doing, buddy?

A Tic-Tac container is the perfect size for DS carts, you can store three in there or more if you really wanna jam 'em in and cause an explosion!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Transporting isn't typically an issue. I decide on one to bring with me, and that's usually enough to tide me over. They do have those little pocket-binders for games, though, I can imagine that would come in handy.

As far as extended trips go I do have a little pouch thing. It stores my DS, charger, and up to 8 games. It's something similar to this.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Not really creative, but I've seen these things at a couple of stores, and I think they would work well for taking games on the go. Basically, they're like that little game case thingy that came with the Castlevania: PoR preorder bonus, but they hold six games instead of two.

I use these cases:

They come in packs of 3, meaning you can store 9 games for each pack. They're very convenient for me. Sorry, but I couldn't find a pic of the actual packaging.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I never, ever take my DS out. Taking DS carts out in a small container is dangerous, because if it gets stolen or lost, there's a whole smack of money BAM gone. I decide which game I'm going to play, stick it in the DS, and go. But now I have a M3 Simply I'm thinking I'll be using that more often. It's basically multiple DS games in a single DS cartridge, and thus, is extremely portable.

I have 19 DS games at the moment so it isn't a sensible option to be taking them anywhere.

I bought a small clear plastic tackle box at Wal-Mart. The little compartments are the exact same size as a DS cart, and it only cost around $3. Sure, it's way too big to fit in my pocket, but it fits great in my briefcase that I take to work.

This is pretty much what it looks like:

I have the same cases... I can't find my Star Fox Command either, i'm pissed off...

Anyway, I've saw on GoNintendo someone used a coin collecting book to store his DS games. The spaces are big enough to fit a game in there. I thought it was a pretty neat idea.

I've seen people recycle their old Game Boy cartridge cases. Can hold around six in one of those. Me? I just stick them in my pocket if I have to carry more than one with me (seldom).

Jam it back in, in the dark.

There's always this. It's stylish, extremely small, and cute. But it only holds 2 cartridges.

So I guess that's just enough for Phoenix Wright 1 and 2.

I use the cases old Game Boy games came in. They can hold three DS games with no problem, and if you're really desperate a fourth can fit in there. The fourth game tends to block the latch though, so it's a struggle to open it again. Unfortunately I've got too many DS games now, and have long since run out of extra cases. Now my old games are having to go bare until I remember to look for a box like Nutty posted.

I usually keep all my DS games in a zipped up pocket in my jacket, although I lost Mario Kart last year that way I still haven't gotten around to re-buying it. I'm a bit more careful and only bring one game which stays in my DS, although I never go anywhere long enough to need multiple games.

Best DSLite case ever. Holds 4 (6 if you cram them) DS cartridges in the pockets, and even more (including the charger and some GBA games) in the mesh pocket. Costs $20 from Playasia.

I suppose that any of those are better than what I'm doing right now. And of course, if it's just a short trip, I'll have 1 DS game to last me over (probably FF3) and if I get bored of that, I'll have a backup GBA game in the second slot if I really want some variety (which happens to be Tales of Phantasia). But for really long trips, I suppose it might be a good idea to get a case that can hold a few, All I need to hold is 2 more DS games and 2 more GBA games since I only have that much.

Also, an M3 sounds VERY attractive for having the ability to hold multiple games in one cart.....

Yeah, I use those cases too. I tend to only bring one though when I go out so I have at most 4 games wherever I go, just for variation. And I'm trying to resist the urge to buy more of those cases, so I try not to be playing more than 10 DS games at the same time... =p

I take one DS game box with me and stuff it with games...

One in the DS slot, one in the GBA slot, and at least 3 or 4 more in the remaining space

The biggest problem is opening the case without an explosion of DS games

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I actually just store all of my DS games in a (card) deck box. It's not probably not healthy for the carts themselves, but this is actually just for storage purposes. For actual "on-the-go" gaming, I use one of those things from the switch 'n carry things...because my brother got one (with six cases).

My brothers and I have a total of about 30 DS games...and its still growing (like 4 games a month)

Yeah, I went with the 3 pack of 3 DS games cases.

They're actually pretty handy, I think they were either $5 or $10, and they hold 9 total.

Though I might need another set of cases to fit new games I decide to buy. I can't believe I can't find Luminous Arc anywhere. I might have to go online to find it.

I generally don't carry that many DS carts with me, I keep them in their cases. If I do take multiple carts with me, I have a pouch that holds my DS and three extra carts.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
