Samsung "SyncMaster932BW" DVI Issues

Hey guys, my brother just got himself a new Samsung LCD Monitor. It's a really nice Monitor, but for some reason the DVI isn't working.

VGA works flawlessly, but when I use the DVI Connection It won't get past the windows XP loading Screen. Once the windows loading screen is done, the monitor goes black, and then turns back on like its going to work....but just stays black. I don't understand that AT ALL.

I figured it might be video card related, so i updated my drivers to the newest set available. No luck there. My card is a Radeon 9800 Pro. Old, but should handle DVI.

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I've checked Google and some forums, and I don't see anything. I'm really hoping one of you guys can help.

Thanks

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Native resolution of the LCD?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

1440x900, surprisingly low for a 19" monitor. My notebook monitor is 15" and has a 1680x1050 resolution. Go figure.

Hmm, you should hit the DVI single-link bandwidth limit with this resolution. Any information about the state of the LCD on the OSD? Sometimes you get additional info when inside the menu.

I can't figure it out, i decided I don't really care anyway, I can barely tell a difference between the two. I'm just going to stick with Analog for now.

Now i need some help with flicker. I'm hooking up an asus G1S to it at teh moment, and there is bad flicker, especially in games. 8600GTM Video Card

Anyone know how to fix this flicker?

How ya doing, buddy?

Or decrease it... it should be the same as the the one the internal LCD logic works with. That's 60Hz most of the time.

Is that the only thing that can be doing it? I only can tell in games, and changing the refresh rate doesn't help any.

Can it be that It's on a laptop, and I'm cloning the image onto the monitor?

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
