2009 MLB season discussion
 But seriously, now begins a 10-year-span for the Yankees where they have to win World Serieses. When your team features the most overpaid shortstop in baseball, the future all-time home run king, at least three pitchers who should win 20 games apiece, and, now, a first baseman who can do everything but your calculus homework, you kinda have to. My expectations are that they have to win at least one World Series and get there at least three times. New York Grinchees. What a freaking steal, getting Teixeira from the Red Sox clutches. I hope he blows out his leg in the first game. Meanwhile, the Red Sox haven't signed anyone of any importance yet. Obviously they have been focusing their efforts on Teixeira, but now they've been left in the dust by the Yankees and they don't have much to work with in the free agent market. It's going to be a rough summer for them, methinks. Jam it back in, in the dark.

Yes, by referencing the post I made in a previous thread saying the same thing, I hoped to resolve any future conflicts by inferring that same line of discussion would occur.
I think this was a satisfactory shortcut! This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |

Fuckin god damn Braves. How could they not give the face of the franchise (been there longer than Chipper) the money that he wanted and deserved. Yeah he may get another injury, but if he doesn't there is no question he is one of the best pitchers in the league. I want the Braves to turn around and this doesn't help for next year at least.

Until he is subpoenaed by a grand jury (or word gets out that he perjured in front of a grand jury), the only thing that will happen to him is his publicity will plummet.
And he'll probably have a huge year this year. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
