Using desktop as a HDD

I don't use my desktop anymore at rez, so my laptop basically sits on top of it as a stand (using external monitor, keyboard etc...) Is it possible to connect the laptop and the computer so they share HDD, via USB? Yes, i'm too cheap to afford an external HDD =/

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Since its a desktop Hard Drive, you could get a 3.5" enclosure for it.

Or you could get on these babys:
Newegg.com - Thermaltake BlacX N0028USU External Hard Drive SATA Enclosure Docking Station 2.5" & 3.5" USB 2.0 - Retail
Stuff We Like: Dock Your Old Drives with the Hard Drive USB Dock

There's nowhere I can't reach.

You could turn on your desktop and use it as a network drive. :3

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Looks pretty nice, but I wish I had enough money to swap HDDs out like that

An enclosure will run you 15 bucks. Just make sure it has the right connectors, like IDE or SATA.
