Arthur C. Clarke: 1917-2008
Science fiction writer Arthur C. Clarke dies at 90.
Wow, it's hard to believe. I knew he was getting up there, but...I was hoping for one or two more new works. Still, it's incredible to think back on what he accomplished: telecommunications satellites, 2001, RAMA, even the old Mysterious World TV show, which introduced a generation to crystal skulls. Farewell to one of my most-read childhood favorites. I think I'm going to go crack open my copy of RAMA in tribute. Jam it back in, in the dark.
