gamecube + HDTV = eye cancer

well I got this new HDTV for Christmas and I really enjoy it for my ps3 and all since I connect it with HDMI and since I still have place to plug my gamecube I plug it but only with the standard composite cable.

I don,t really have to say much to tell you that it look god awful >.< So I tried searching for any component cable for the gamecube but I either fail at searching for this or it just doesn't exist.

is there any good cable or way to plug a gamecube on a HDTV which will not look so awful? if I do find component cable for my gamecube, will it really be better or will it still look like shit?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

It depends on how well your television scales. In the best case scenario, the image will be tolerable...most of the time, it will still look bad.

Assuming that your Gamecube isn't one of the newer versions with the Digital A/V port removed, you could probably order one from Nintendo.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

That said, with newer Gamecubes lacking a Digital output Nintendo's online store doesn't seem to carry the component cables anymore. Your best bet would be ebay.

Also, I just tested my gamecube on a lcd TV (with component cables) and I have to say it doesn't look bad at all. It's not the kind of picture quality like the xbox360 or ps3 but it's a hell of a lot better than using the standard composite setup. But Megalith is right, depending on how your TV scales the display it could make it look even worse. Luckily for me the TV has manual aspect ratio settings =D

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I found an S-Video cord at Gamestop for my Gamecube. That's the best I could find. The quality's a little better than composite.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?
