Thief uses flower pot to steal Porsche

Thief uses flower pot to steal Porsche - Yahoo! News

--

BERLIN (Reuters) - A thief in Germany used a flower pot to steal a 150,000 euro ($221,000) Porsche.

Reversing out of his open garage, the car's owner heard a scraping noise and got out to investigate, police in the western city of Bonn said Tuesday.

As the 56-year-old was bending down to remove a flower pot jammed against a tire, a man pushed him aside, leaped behind the wheel and drove off in his grey Porsche 997 Turbo.

"All the shocked man could do was jump to one side to avoid being run over," police said.

I thought using a flower pot to steal a car is a pretty original idea. If you were a thief, how would you go about stealing it? I am pretty uncreative when I comes to stuff like this that I have no clue what I would do.

Have you heard of this story in which a man steals a car, and doesn't realize there's a snake in the bag on the passenger seat. Boy, I'm sure he was in for a surprise. I can't remember if the snake was venomous or if it was a constrictor.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

if it's a 200k Porsche, then you think it would have had GPS tracking?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Haha, I dunno anything about cars. The article didn't say anything more so I don't know how it turned out.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I just have to wonder why the majority of these Odd News stories seem to occur in Germany... and how many of them are true. Given how little information is given in the article, it makes me wonder. Nevertheless, if it is true, that was a clever trick. I have no idea how I'd steal a car since they have so many safety features these days, so I guess a flowerpot is one easy way around that.

That's pretty clever actually.

In related news, the US has determined anyone who buys a Flower Pot to be a Terrorist.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Clever. That's one way to use a everyday object in a creative way...

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

He probably then used the flower he grew in the pot, to steal the heart of a girl, and drive away to paradise in the Porsche. So it was a efficient plan as well

Im coming from Germany and I can assure you that the most of these storys are true ...

Data Privacy is a holy thing in Germany so the most people dont want that their cars can be tracked by GPS ...
