Adobe After Effects help

Are there any animators in here...?
My question is regarding After Effects (I'm new at it, so sorry if it's a silly question).

How do I remove the red lines or X on the following picture...?

I have the orginal image...I imported it in a normal way, but when I try to render it, the red lines appears. It does look like the source is missing or something, but I do have the original picture :O

What am I doing wrong?

Jam it back in, in the dark.
Thanks to Fjordor for the funny image!

Is there some plugin at work that is unregistered?
Can you click the red line, do they look like some kind of guide?

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It was unregistered

I'm stilling learning After Effects. Do you have any recommended tutorial sites...?

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
Thanks to Fjordor for the funny image!

There are a lot of cool tutorials at Creative Cow. They range from basic stuff like the interface to effects reconstructions. You can often download project files for the video tuts.
Adobe After Effects Tutorials

One of THE books on AFX is Adobe After Effects %insert version number% Professional Studio Techniques.
Adobe After Effects CS3 Professional Studio Techniques - $47.99
I was too cheap to buy it so far, but I definately plan on doing so.

If you plan to edit a real movie with AFX, also have a look at The DVD Rebel Guide.
http://rebelsguide.com/
It´s not just about the software, but the author is an AFX fan and most of his screenshots and plugins are for the Adobe suite.
