Dual Monitor Troubles
So having gotten a brand new 22" LCD monitor in black friday mayhem, I'm going to start to use a dual monitor setup with my old 20" CRT once I get back to my apartment. I'm giving it a test run using my laptop, but I'm having a problem.
When I set the resolution on the second monitor to 1680 x 1050 (the native res for it), something strange happens. The monitor works, I still things on it, but it's acting like my laptop's resolution. It's stretching as it it were 1280 x 800, and it scrolls; Like when the mouse goes to the edge of the screen, it's not the edge of the resolution, so the display follows the mouse. It's like a zooming program, except not a zooming program, and annoying. Anyone know how to make it so it will display the correct resolution unstretched? Jam it back in, in the dark.  |

You have to go into your videocard settings and switch the display mode to dual view instead of clone.
