Problem to delete files...

I installed Windows Vista few months ago, because I wanted to test how it is, and it suck ass...

Anyway, I installed windows on partition D:\, and now I have problem to delete it. The windows folder and Program files folder which belongs to windows vista is filling up my harddisk, and I want to delete it, but instead...
When I try to delete it, I get a error message:

Cannot delete TableTextService: Acces denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not
currently in use.

Here is a screenshot:

http://img89.imageshack.us/my.php?image=test4nv.jpg

I guess is not just ''TableTextService'' I can't delete, but some other files which lies inside the windows and Program files folder. I have tried to use safe mode to delete it, but it seems like it doesn't work at all...

any ideas?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Try cleaning out the cookies, then defraging. I have that problem sometimes with XP and that usualy works. I don't know if Vista's the same way or not.

How can cookies have anything to do with it, giving they are just text-files that store information?

My guess is that Vista somehow secured the folder.

OS protections can't save folders from the wrath of the DELTREE command. Trust me on that.

Either that or a plain 'ole format. Get NTFSDOS Pro or Hiren's Boot CD 6.0+ if you want to access NTFS folders using a bootdisk.

Oh man... I don't want to format everything on my partition, because I have stored lots of DVD concert and stuff in there, and I don't want to burn either, I will waste like 10-15 DVD's or something like that, not just because of the concert, but lots of programs, music etc...

How does NTFSDos Pro or Hiren's Boot CD actually work?

So how about you just delete this unwanted Vista partition? Or use the UNC path to delete locked files from the command line:

del \\.\(drive letter):\(dir1)\(dir2)\(file)

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Try the GiPo@MoveOnBoot utility at http://gibinsoft.net/. It flags files for deletion so that after a reboot it can access any file and delete it before the system locks it. Worked for me where Unlocker has failed, so it's worth a go.

How ya doing, buddy?

Ulsysses, I tried to use GiPo@MoevOnBoot utility, and it doesn't work at all...

Rock, I followed your details how to delete the file, but it doesn't work either...

isn't there any more powerful program enough, so I don't really need to format at all? =/

if unlocker didnt work, thats trouble
unlocker has never failed me

you could try this attribute changer, it provides an interface to change the attributes of files (maybe they are protected 'system' files)
it can be done with cmd, but this is a a lot easier especially if you have a lot of files to do

Who knows if there is a program good enough? It's a beta, which means there's a chance it will fuck stuff up.

A simple way to format without losing all your shit: use PartitionMagic to create a new partition just to move your movies, music, and such onto. Then format just the one drive after you've backed up everything over to the new one.

Bump, because hopefully by now someone before me has Google'd, tried solutions, and found one that works either inside XP or Vista, because I can't get my test Vista installation off my second hard drive which can't be moved elsewhere.
