Sup GFF faggots, who can't handle shit? |
Configuration Error? O__o
I used recovery couple months a go... didn't turn my PC on for a long time. Now I got new mobo + CPU... now when I turn PC on it says "Configuration Error"... does it mean I need new Os -_-'''
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Windows doesn't really like it when you do massive hardware changes like an entirely new mobo & CPU without reformatting.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Great, now how can I reformat it now ._. my old parts are broken...
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
You could just repair Windows too. I would do that first before reformatting.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |

Okay I am quiet confused.
Here's my situation. -I did system recovery to factory state - after couple hours of system recovery PC got busted - Which meant I could never set up the windows after doing system recovery... - added Mew mobo - now I get configuration error when I am trying to load up windows So is it possible to do formating or reparing @ this state? Is this common? When I put my HD @ SATA port 1, on mobo I get my HD as "third HD Master" Or do I have to run out and get a new OS and HD? [P.S I am using an old PC which is from late 90's ._.] I was speaking idiomatically.

If you can find a bootable copy of Windows lying around, then yes, formatting and repairing is possible, although the second isn't much recommended.
As for your HD issue, it is common for your IDE channels to be listed before your SATA channels. 'First HD Master' and 'second HD Slave' would be your first IDE channel (you most likely only have one since you have a new motherboard), leaving 'third HD Master' as the start of your SATA channels. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
