YouTube Britney Spears fan to get own show - Telegraph

A Britney Spears fan who became an internet sensation after his YouTube defence of the embattled star was viewed more than eight million times has been offered a television deal.

Chris Crocker, the pseudonym of the tear-stained 19-year-old who sobs his way through the melodramatic “leave Britney alone” video, has been approached by a reality television company 44 Blue Productions, according to Variety.

Crocker, who lives in Tennessee with his grandmother, recorded the video after Spears’s widely-derided performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month.

I just Wackypedia'd the company that wants to make a show about him. Apparently they made an entire show about dump trucks or something. Fucking awesome. Fucking awesome. It might be a good show, what if they put him in a dump truck, and the dump truck is full of people making fun of Britney's whale blubber. Then there's like two hours of this guy crying. Then the dump truck falls off a cliff.

Not surprised about this announcement. In today's world, everyone is about the latest fad.

I find it pretty sad that this is the kind of "entertainment" that gets its own shows...

I don't know if the tv stations are getting more and more desparate for shows or if I'm just becoming more and more aware of how desparate are and always have been.
