McAfee Virusscan
So to get onto my college network I have to install McAfee. Normally this is no problem as I just immediately disable the service. This semester however, that no longer works.
When I try to disable it via services.msc or msconfig I get the attached error message. This makes NO sense to me whatsoever seeing as I'm the administrator on my laptop. I've even tried booting into Safe mode under the account "Administrator" to no avail. I don't actually want to uninstall McAfee (I'm fairly sure I could if I tried), but merely disable the on access scan that cripples my speed and internet access. Oh and since I haven't mentioned it thus far, right clicking and disabling virus scan also doesn't work. Any suggestions? Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() "Oh sirrah" -Hedonism Bot |
Where is your attached error message
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
In my imagination. Sorry, here it is.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() "Oh sirrah" -Hedonism Bot |
