Essentially, Goodfellas + Dirty Rotten Scoundrels + Oliver Twist Parallel-universe Venice taken as setting (Choco names++) Main vill a tad underdrawn but we're only at book one in the series so shut up Cal Entertaining knack for dialogue (read: MAY CONTAIN LULZ) How ya doing, buddy?

I've been pushing Scott Lynch since before this book dropped, sir. Hilarious guy, great writer, and the second is just as strong as the first. Glad to see I'm not the only person actively pushing him on people, though.

Haha, likewise in that case.
Haven't read it yet, but I was afraid the second was going to disappoint, like almost every other author's second novel (as after they've spent years perfecting the debut the publishers give them 12 months for No. 2). Also do you ever find out how Father Chains carks it/disappears? Maybe it's in Lies, and I'm not up to it. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
