Ripping Music
Hey guys, I'm intending to rip some audio from some AVI files that I have, and I don't really know any program offhand that can do so. Any recommendations?
How ya doing, buddy? |
|
Hmm. Thanks so much. Is it possible to have batch ripping though? I mean, I'd gladly do it one by one, but I was wondering if it's possible to rip the audio from multiple files at a time.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Use Audio Converter Pro
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Alright, I'll give that a shot. Thanks!
I was speaking idiomatically. |

Virtual Dub is fully scriptable, so yes, you can create batch jobs and even more.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Admittedly, I have absolutely no idea how to do that. Hence the need for alternative tools.

That's what documentation is for...
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Err. I see nothing in the documentation that refers to anything that I'm intending to do. Maybe I'm just retarded or something, but I'd appreciate if you could throw a link my way...
Jam it back in, in the dark. |

Well if you do a google search for "virtualdub documentation" you find this link (http://www.virtualdub.org/docs/vdscript.txt) in the first hit. This should explain the scripting capabilities.
If you search for "batch processing virtualdub" or "batch virtualdub" you eventually find this link (DubMan - The VirtualDub Manager) and various informations how batch processing (or job control how vdub names it) is handled. This took me around 5 minutes of googling. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Oh. Thanks a lot. I was searching on the VirtualDub site itself and found the first link, but didn't really understand it fully. Don't know what I didn't think about googling. Ah well. Thanks again.
