[Movie] Movie Monsters!!!

Most people are scared of at least one movie monster. Whether it be the Mermen, The WolfMan, Vampires, Zombies, etc etc..


What movie monster scares you? Which one do you find least threatening if they were to exsist in the real world?

For me, Movie monster that I hate with a passion is... Zombies. I mean, personally because look at all the bio-weapons were making now-a-days. It won't be long before someone creates something to that liking just because they have too much of an imagination and too much spare time.

Also b/c think about. .. Someone you love, gets bite... now you have the option of A> letting her life and eventually turn on when they die...
B> Kill yourself to stop the madness and so you won't have to be force to kill the person you love..

or C> you let yerself be bitten... let yer become something like that.. and eventually bite the head of one of you family members, friends, etc etc.

I don't think I could pull the trigger on someone that I care for.. but I wouldn't want to kill somone that i love by biting them..

Least fav. monster-- The clown from IT... Everyone is scared of him but meh.. Clowns don't scare me.. I dated a person that did a side job as a Clown..

To date I still cannot stand the spiders from Arachnophobia. I'm no longer scared of spiders (at least to a great extent, I still don't want them crawling on me...) but I let my dad bully me into watching it, lol, so that was a bit stupid.

Least threatening? Heh, sorry to do this, but it'd have to be Zombies. I've just seen them done so badly in so many movies, that it's almost become a joke to me. I can't think about them seriously anymore, even in real life. The only movie that did them any good was one of the worst movie series I've ever seen - Resident Evil. Bad as a whole (what did I expect, based on a video game and all) but the zombie acting was actually very good. Wiki says the director didn't mime anything for them, just told them to "act like you think a zombie should." So it turned out pretty decent.

Pinhead, from the Hellraiser/Hellbound heart series is my favorite horror villain of all time. His delivery is always dry and impeccable and he is utterly evil, despite the fact that he claims to be beyond 'Good and Bad'.

He is a master of torture, utilizing hooks to tear flesh and organs asunder. He exists only to experience sexuality and pain. His character is a manifestation of Xipe Totec, a god of flaying from the Aztec civilization.

All in all, damn nightmarish if horror movies are anyone's thing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Arachnophobia scared the shit out of me.. I'm still slightly scared of spiders but not as I used to be.. I used to think they would pop out of no-where.

Although the idea of having to pull the trigger on a family member or loved whom has turned into a zombie sends a cold shiver down my spine, the worst case for me would be something from the movie Virus.

The idea of being trapped with a Digital type AI, that basically mutilates your friends and turns them into disfigured cyborgs, still retaining some of their personality and memories (or none at all), coming to hunt you down would probably scare and enrage me at the same time. As with furby's situtation, cyborg implants and such are becoming a very strong possibility. That and mabye it is partially from my early days of playing System Shock on the pc.

Movie monsters have never really scared me. The things I find creepy are movie settings. Like old woodsheds.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

When I was a kid, the Creature from the Black Lagoon scared the hell out of me.

Nowadays--the monsters themselves don't scare me. Suspense does.

Well, I'm not really scared at all of zombies. They're just shambling, rotting corpses that are slowly falling apart. Zombies are extremely dumb and slow, while the military forces of the world are the exact opposite. So, realistically, if a zombie apocalypse were ever to occur, it would at worst be just a minor inconvenience, and at best, something so small that it would be completely and flawlessly covered up by the government.

The least threatening movie monster to me?... Ursula from the little mermaid. Does she count? Truth be told, I like human/creature hybrids like mermaids and catgirls and she's got a cool octopus body. Also, I find her kind of sexy, I don't know. I guess I just like ladies who got it big up front.

The one movie monster that scared me when I was a kid wasn't really ever present on the screen, so much as he was vicariously present through a medium: the demon that possessed Regan in The Exorcist. That motherfucker gave me countless nightmares up until I was 7 years old and it was just the KNOWLEDGE, not FEAR, that it could happen to me. How did I KNOW it COULD happen? Because I was probably 5 or 6 when I watched it and if you're raised to believe this nonsense, impossible things seem pretty believable. Catholic school rapes young minds like priests fucking altar boys, man.

Galbatorix or whatever that dipshit's name was in Eragon. Not only was it basically one of the worst movies of all time, "Galbatorix" has the distinction of being the only villian to make me laugh just upon hearing the name. Then the way he talked was even worse. Or the lines "I SUFFER WITHOUT MY STONE." Come to think of it I'm not even sure why I watched the movie. Maybe I was just tired of epic adventure movies and wanted a comedy or something.

Aw, does it have to be a movie? The leprechaun from the opening of "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" used to scare the hell out of me. I'd hide under a blanket or behind a pillow during the opening just to not see it. Also: Zeebo the Clown. What'chu know 'bout Zeebo?!

Anyway, as for movies, that Leprechaun scared me, I think. Maybe I was just scared of leprechauns in general. Not Lucky though. Oh, also: Chucky from... Child's Play.

When I was younger, clowns used to scare me a lot, so that clown from IT freaked me out a lot. I still haven't seen that movie in a long time now, although I think due to de-sensitization, I can probably watch it without creeping out now.

Horror movies don't really creep me out as much anymore. It seems like the monsters themselves aren't that scary/threatening anymore (unless you're easily scared or young). What usually makes them scary now is the atmosphere they're in, whether an old mansion, a house in the middle of the woods/nowhere, or being on a vessel with some weird thing.

Slightly OT, but Horror games are still good for a scare though on me. I guess it does because it's sometimes unpredictable, and if you screw something up, you could die as well (not like screw up like in the movies). Plus you can generally fight back somehow. I hated how in movies they never pick up something to fend themselves with, like a rock or a branch.

I hated waking up in my room in Silent Hill 4, and having the controller immediately rumble on me because something nearby was haunted, such as the phone ringing with a voice saying "I am watching you", or hearing a child cry, but you can't see the child anywhere.

That ghost boss in Fatal Frame 2 also creeped me out initially. Anytime he appeared, the screen would change from color to old grainy black & white, and if he touched you, you insta-died. The fact that he appears in an area where you had limited room to maneuver didn't help. But his "scariness" factor went down when I had to re-do that area for the 6th, 7th, etc, time.

That lady that falls from the ceiling while uttering a painful moan is still creepy to me though, and I never entered that area she's in after figuring out a way around the room.
