Superbad
From the director of 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked-up comes Superbad!
Did very well in the box office. I so want to watch this. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() Dance party! |
It sparked my interest when I saw a preview before Blades of Glory (I think). I think I can slap some funds together and see it with Ceres sometime.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
^ ;_;
It caught my eye right away. I was like, "awkward dude from Arrested Development, sweet." Unfortunately, i've already seen more movies in the theatre this month than I usually see all year, so I'm not exactly chomping at the bit to see it. Yeah, theatres smell and they cost too much. Why am I spelling theatre like that? I don't know. Yeah, those clips were fucking hilarious. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]()

It looks like a cool movie, but is it funny?
In my honest opinion, it looks like they are try to be funny. I don't like that in movies. Make them look bad. I was speaking idiomatically. |
It was actually only PRODUCED by Judd Apatow, not directed by him. Still, I want to see this movie really bad. All my friends who have seen it already have all told me that it's one of the funniest movies they've seen this year and it's as good as Knocked Up, if not better. They may be exaggerating on the latter but hopefully it still makes for a pretty decent flick.
Most amazing jew boots |
I liked it better than Knocked Up, but I wouldn't put it at funniest movie this year. Still, it had a lot of laughs that were paced out well, and the main actors did a good job playing their roles of awkward immature teenage boys. The two cops that play a big part reminded me of Super Troopers too.

Good Chocobo |
I didn't think it was as funny as Knocked Up but it definitely had some ROTFL moments. Like KU, it's a 90 minute movie in a 110 minute package and could have used some trimming (especially in the middle, with the endless cop scenes).
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Got some preview tickets to see this on September 3rd (it's out later over here, Knocked Up isn't even out 'til this Friday). Hopefully I should make it along to that showing as I'm quite looking forward to this film.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
It was pretty good. A lot of reviews are hyping it about being such a in depth picture about high school and the end of the high school chapter in someone's life. I don't think it's that insightful.
It is funny and I do recommend it. It could use some trimming, but it's pretty smooth throughout. Fogell is worth admission alone. How ya doing, buddy? |
