My laptop recently started to restart by itself. By the time the computer reboots, probably around five seconds later, it restarts again. So I shut it down, and waited about an hour or so. When I turned it on again, I was able to load my personal settings, but five minutes later, I get that dreadful blue screen of death. I rebooted my laptop, and now it doesn't seem to work. Every time the computer starts up, it takes me to this ms-dos screen that says something like "NTLDR file is missing. Hit CTRL ALT DEL to restart."
Yeah, I'm hoping reformatting would be the last resort. I did save a lot of my work and files on a flash drive, and that's a relief, however, I don't have backups for some of my compositions. And my piece for the GFF composition competition is on my laptop, and the deadline's tommorow.
What do I do? Anybody experienced this before?
Jam it back in, in the dark.
