GARO: The Live Action Anime

Ok, I saw the first episode of this show last week and ever since I've been driven nuts to try and find it. The show is called GARO and I swear to god that it is one of the best Live Action version's of Anime that I have ever seen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GARO

It's Odd. I think this is what it would be like if the Wachowski brothers were born in Japan, used Japanese Actors, and had a bit less money than they did for the Matrix.

SO does anyone have any links to useful Torrents so I can download this?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

TV-Nihon has it (being a Tokusatsu show I would have guessed )

All 25 eps, if I free up some space I might have to see this!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Don't forget the 2 special episodes : "Beast of the White Night", available on tokyotosho. Those two episodes takes place after the first season.

Hopefully there's gonna be a second one. This tokusatsu is amazing and very well done. I don't really like the armor fights, too cheesy, but the fights in regular clothes are sweet.

This sounds really interesting. What's the story like?

I was speaking idiomatically.

From what I understand, The beginning is about a Makai Knight who basically goes around killing the Horrors. Typical Shonen Anime. HOwever, it really follows this young Female artist Whom you meet in the first episode. It's really well done with alot of graphics and nice acting.

Very much like an Anime.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I wouldn't exactly call this show a "Live Action Anime", though many superhero type shows in Japan invoke the manga influence of Shotaro Ishinomori. The fighting is about the only reason I watched it, personally. Though there were a handful of episodes that worked really well as stand-alone pieces.

You can see the difference in budget between GARO and other similar shows. The creator of "Zeiram" is actually the creator of this series, if I recall correctly. The idea was to have a darker tokusatsu type program, as opposed to the typical Kamen Rider/Ultraman/Super Sentai approaches commonly seen.

The plot of an episode typically revolves around a person who has a desire or personality flaw that is exploited after they come into contact with beings called "Horrors", with the sub-plot of Kouga/Garo's relationship with the girl he saves in the first episode. Other sub-plots will obviously emerge as the show goes on. I give it a hearty recommendation, if only to watch the awesome fights.

MMMM TOKUSATSU. Still haven't finished the series though and I've had it burnt for awhile now. I'm around episode 18 or so and I have been for the past 8 or so months. Pretty cool design and story though. If only Kamen Rider would tackle some darker themes.

I have a habbit of droping toku at the first inconveniance (With Kamen Rider Kabouto I got to the point where it was all "Who is gonna get Za Bee?" and that sorta kinda got old so I kinda forgot to get the next episode) so maybe this one, with only half the eps to it, might just get done by the end of it.

It's OP being done by JAM PROJECT helps I guess.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
All I'm saying is that if the laptops of the future are not in the
shape of chibi genie girls then I'm going to be sorely disappointed.
